Vegetal and oceanic green tea flavour at the forefront. Combines well with the roasted rice and popcorn flavour. There is a lot of popcorn in this blend.

drank Jasmine Blossom by Rosevear Tea
820 tasting notes

I have had an opportunity to try many Rosevear Tea teas in the past few months as I purchased their advent calendar. I’m just finishing up the last few days of the calendar now as I was away the days leading up to Christmas. I think that my favourite teas from the calendar were the green teas just like this Jasmine Blossom that I am currently drinking. There’s a buttery tone to the tea and you can tell that a decent green tea was used even though it is flavoured. Jasmine is well-balanced, sweet, and floral. Slightly vegetal on the aftertaste.

Flavors: Floral, Jasmine, Sweet, Vegetal

4 minutes seems like too long of an infusion for this one.

Forefront flavour of tea is a bit flat. I am detecting notes of candy licorice sweetness.

Winter 2016 tea

Dry leaf has a distinct floral aroma- maybe lily flower if I had to choose. Half of a cake used.

Brewed tea has an aroma of ripe bananas with a bit of a malty tone which reminds me of banana bread. The brewed tea flavour reminds me of toasted bananas. Medium-thick mouthfeel and sweet on the finish. Toasted floral notes in the background.

Flavors: banana, Cream, Floral, Flowers, Sweet, Toasty

drank Lemon & Ginger by Clipper

The licorice was too overpowering in this blend and didn’t fit in well with the flavour profile. I would have liked more of a tart citrus note from the lemon and a bit more spice from the ginger. This is not what I would expect lemon and ginger to taste like.
