820 Tasting Notes
I used 3 scoops for my tea tumbler.
Taste is mostly floral (lavender) with the presence of coconut.
The lingering after taste reminds me of marshmallows.
On the third infusion the coconut flavour really comes out.
Very nice blend cold brewed (11 hours). The coconut is at the forefront of the flavour with the lavender solidly coming out near the end of the sip. The after-taste is slightly sour, tasting of raw coconut.
Preparation
I used 2 scoops for my thermos.
Sweet, orange-flavoured and minty all the way through. The sweetness seems to be sourced from the spearmint. This is a very nice blend.
The second infusion is slightly dilute but drinkable. This tisane would not likely do well past its second infusion.
This is one tisane to keep infused while drinking- over time, the spearmint flavour comes out and really sweetens the tisane.
Preparation
I used 5 David’s Tea perfect scoops for my ~450 ml thermos.
Sweet coconut-like flavour. The tangy apple flavour just peeks through. The sencha flavour gives a background smokey roasted flavour with hints of vegetal taste. Popcorn flavour is present. Strong toffee flavour aftertaste.
The second infusion is a muted version of the first infusion. The coconut-like flavour is able to come out a bit more and the tangy apple isn’t as harsh. I added a few grates of ginger to this brew and it complemented everything nicely.
Preparation
I used 2 David’s Tea Scoops for my ~470 ml thermos.
Sweet and floral with smooth almond flavour coming through. The fruits give the tea a fuller flavour but it has an overall slightly dilute taste. Unpleasant artificial-type aftertaste that lingers.
For the second infusion the artificial aftertaste becomes muted and the tea develops a cherry flavour.
Very bitter flavour when cold-brewed. Highly unpleasant. Artificial after-taste- reminds me of the flavouring of the pastes used for teeth cleaning.
Preparation
I used 1 and 1/2 spoons of dry leaf for my thermos.
Aroma is sweet. Light roasted notes; almost bitter. Jasmine-like flavour hints on each sip. Smooth mouth-feel. Sweetness in taste on the finish. Very strong vegetal aftertaste.
Preparation
Very smooth. Buttery quality. Bitter aftertaste. The fig gives it a sweet aroma. I would liken the flavour to an artificial grape taste. Not all the flavours in this blend come out.
After finishing my mug and allowing the aftertaste to mingle with my salivary enzymes, I find the taste to be overpowering and not at all pleasant.
