736 Tasting Notes
Was a little sketchy about trying another new black tea since they never seem to taste how I expect, but this one surprised me! Why it’s kinda woody still, I can definitely taste the malt. Which is one of the things I like best about black teas!
This tea is strong, and yet kinda creamy. If I end up not buying more of this, I think I’ll at least enjoy the rest of the sample I got!
Flavors: Malt, Wood
Bought a sample of this with my latest H&S order.
I have heard that it’s like the wedding tea, so of course I had to get it!
I am sure my nose is currently broken because when I opened the package all I could smell was chocolate milk…
There’s no chocolate in this….I don’t even know. But I kept trying to smell something else, but that’s all I smelled. xD And it’s not even like I drink chocolate milk or have it in my house…so I just…I don’t know. xD
Anyway, look wise, this tea is quite similar to the wedding tea. It’s soft and kinda colorful. It’s a pretty tea.
So. Not as good as I expected, but I’ll have to try it a few more times to be certain of it. I can see myself liking it, but not totally sure. Was hoping for more coconut/vanilla/rose flavors, but the coconut and rose were quite subtle in this tea. :/ The main thing I kept tasting was…hay…I guess it makes sense since it’s a white tea after all.
But yeah, not totally what I expected. The Wedding tea is definitely wayyyy better. But I have a couple more tsp left in this sample to come to a conclusion on this tea. We shall see.
Flavors: Coconut, Hay, Rose
Well…kinda disappointed with this one too. :/
Maybe I just got a crap load of cinnamon in the tsp I used, but this tea turned out wayyy strong. Mainly tasting cinnamon with this. It’s pretty buttery and a bit bready though, besides the cinnamon….but just not enough to make me really love it. Eh, I don’t know. These fall teas aren’t doing it for me just yet.
It’s not bad, but not a big fan either…
to the sell list it goes I guess. xD And if no one else wants it, then I will probably drink it down at some point. It’s not bad, but just…not my thing I suppose.
Flavors: Baked Bread, Butter, Cinnamon
Got this tea from Albertocanfly, who seemed to really like it.
Since she got me to try genmaicha which I fell in love with, she thought I’d like this one….and she might have been right. xD
At might have steeped this a minute over or 30 seconds over on accident, since it totally smelled like burnt popcorn at first, but the flavor seemed to be okay.
I don’t know why I’m surprised…but it literally tastes like buttered corn.
I kinda thought it would taste more like genmaicha, like salted, nutty popcorn. But it just tastes like corn. Exactly what the name is. I don’t know why I thought any different. xD
The more I drink this one, the more I like it. Like genmaicha, it’s just really weird!
Who would have thought I’d like teas like this. xD
I love corn in general, but in a tea form…that’s just so different.
This tea is buttery and smooth. Has a strong taste of corn.
And yet I find myself actually liking it. I can see this tea really growing on me, like genmaicha. xD
Flavors: Butter, Corn Husk, Smooth
Woke up really late today, much to my dismay. On the bright side at least I am starting work tomorrow, and not today. Woke up 4 hours later than I planned today and was too disappointed to know what to drink today until I randomly had a craving for genmaicha. xD
Tried one from a different company this time.
Lovely tea. Soft and smooth. Light and nutty.
Great choice for a first tea of the day! Thanks, Rie T! :D
Flavors: Nutty, Salty, Smooth
Was gonna try Snickerdoodle next…but the maple tea really did disappoint me today. And since everyone seems to be drinking this lately I decided this was an appropriate time to jump back on the GO Wagon.
I always forget how good this one is! Not getting a single note of disappointment from this tea! ^^
So, I was gonna buy this, but people said it wasn’t that were maple-y. Instead I just ordered a bag of Snickerdoodle. Really wanted to get samples of this tea and Pumpkin Chai since it’s so popular and I’m scared of wasting my money, but I only got a sample of this one. Still happy about that though!
When I opened this bag it just smelled like cinnamon apples, so that made me a little disappointed.
Flavor is slightly better. Still mainly getting cinnamon apples, but with a little bit more sugar. But maple…
I just feel so betrayed.
I thought DavidsTea was originally from Canada. And as stereotypical as it is, I figured they’d make a better maple tea. Plus Oh Canada is amazing. Like that’s the bar for maple/syrupy teas.
I taste no maple in this. It’s like the name is a lie.
Well I guess I should be happier that I didn’t waste my money on this tea, but still! I had such high hopes.
Now I’m even more skeptical of Snickerdoodle…Guess I could always sell it on here, but it is still sad! :(
Flavors: Apple, Cinnamon, Sugar
I totally thought it would be like Oh Canada. But didn’t get that at all…so just don’t go in expecting that at least. Some people really like it though!
I agree, super good! :)
