736 Tasting Notes
This one has a pretty inky and malty flavor. It’s not bad. Not something I would buy either. Kinda expected it to taste like wood though xD So glad it didn’t!
I think I’d like this if it were more malty, but it’s not! Oh well.
Glad it was only a sample!
Flavors: Malt
This has a super strong smell and taste….definitely strawberries. Not even like a fake strawberry taste even. The strawberry is pretty spot on.
I just hate that they made this tea with a black tea base!
Fruity teas with a black tea bases just don’t taste right to me. No matter how strong the fruity flavors are, the black tea base just overwhelms it every time. :(
Sad times…
But glad I gave this one a try.
Thank you Megan Low for the sample! :D
Flavors: Bitter, Strawberry, Sweet
Decided to order a 4oz tin of this one to use for my new work tea to take in the mornings to work! :D I loveee how the flavor just stays as strong as you steeped it and doesn’t go away at all. Ughh such a good jasmine!
Plus doesn’t make me feel super caffeinated since green tea doesn’t have tons of caffeine in it! :D
Really? I’ve read so many places that black and oolong have the most caffeine and some white teas. xD
So confusing. I never know who to trust! Well definitely doesn’t make me feel caffeinated like black tea does xD
indian/ceylon teas are more caffeinated than Chinese blacks(reds). we were discussing it with Joseph Wesley on NYC Tea Festival Black tea presentation. the less processed tea ( white, green, green oolong ) it has more caffeine. Stick to herbals at night if you are sensitive
Interesting. Well guess I got it in my head that blacks and oolongs make me feel the most awake…so Guess I’ll just stick with drinking greens and herbals/roobibos for low caffeine…Even if it’s just in my head that it’s lower caffeine it works for me since like your brain is super strong and can like change how things effect you…if that makes sense. xD
But that’s good info to know if anyone ever asks, so even if my body believes false info, at least I don’t have to let others believe it! XD
(Sorry if that doesn’t make sense-I’m pretty tired!)
Got a sample of this in my latest swap with the lovely Megan Low! Have really wanted to try this one! Was surprised by this one actually…but at the same time I’m glad I didn’t waste my money on it! XD
Do you know what the skin of the peach tastes like? Taste kinda peachy, but also has that kinda like…dirt flavor. I don’t know another way to describe it. xD Just has that weird dirty skin flavor haha! There’s a touch of apricot in it too. I actually surprisingly like the blend of apricot and peach, they balanced each other out quite nicely. If it weren’t for the weird dirt skin taste I would probably buy this!
Glad I got to try at least before this collection goes away-thank you so much for the sample, Megan Low!!
Flavors: Apricot, Dirt, Peach, Sweet
Also starting to drink this one more and more this week. So delicious. Love the peach and floral combo-sooo good!
I am finding Lupicia teas to be quite refreshing for this emotional week….
Also…to make it even more emotional, I might be seeing my long estranged sister who I haven’t seen in years on Thursday. Excited, but also kinda nervous. Not sure how to feel exactly. Just hopefully I don’t cry over seeing her too! XD
Yeah…she left home in 2008, and she goes in and out of contact with us through the years…she has kinda been a bit off over the last few years. shall be interesting.
Didn’t know how long I should steep this one for…So I ended up only doing it for 2 minutes. Didn’t get too much flavor. Was kinda malty, but that’s about all I could pick out.
Oh well. I’ll have to try it again and steep it longer next time.
Thanks for letting me try this, AllanK!
Flavors: Malt
This one is pretty malty. Kinda woody, which isn’t really for me. But the malt! I enjoy this one! (: Wasn’t sure if I’d like it, Jin Jun Mei teas are so hit or miss for me.
But I do like this one! Wouldn’t buy it, but I am glad I got to try it.
Thank you, Terri!!
Flavors: Malt, Wood
Backlog:
Had this one the other week, but can’t remember tons about it. I kept forgetting to log it though. This one was pretty disappointing for me though.
It was a bit bready, but also super woody. It was way too strong for my tastes, but glad I got to try it.
Thanks, Terri for the sample!
