Sigh, this tea is almost gone and such an excellent tea. Smooth with caramel notes and so easy to drink. I wonder how much the golden monkeys get paid to pick it.

drank Assam Gold Rain by Teavana

I don’t usually backlog, but I’ve been watching basketball most of the day. This assam is starting to grow on me a little. I started using a little more leaf and it started tasting better. Much more brisk and robust. It even has that assam taste. Nice.

Decided on EB for breakfast this morning. This Teavana blend is nice, but not as strong as River Shannon which I prefer. I can taste the assam in this blend and it will wake you up.

This is a smooth, mellow, aromatic tea. The smell is like sugary raisin and sweet smelling. I don’t get any bitterness and only light astringency. Lots of tips in this tea.

This tea is sweet and earthy with chocolate and peppery notes. I enjoy it more each time I drink it.

I saw this tea at T.J.Maxx and couldn’t help myself. This is called a “Certified Organic Flavor-Aromatherapy Tea”. Its actually very good. You can taste oranges, cinnamon, cloves, ginger and allspice. Its like drinking an Orange Chai. It also has organic schizandra berries in it which I have no idea what they are or how they taste. The tea smells of orange and cinnamon. I used light agave to sweeten the tea. The orange tends to be a little sour if you don’t. Its different and at 2.99 was a bargain. I enjoyed the tea.

Back on the ice tea kick again. I made this for my wife and she loves it. She said, “buy more of this tea”. I blinked and looked at her and said, “your kidding right”. She said, “Nope, I’m serious, this makes fantastic ice tea”. I may make a tea drinker of her yet. I just used JacquelineM’s recipe and used splenda instead of sugar. Now I have to go and buy more tea.

Haven’t iced any teas yet this spring but posts like this sure are an incentive!

This tea steeps to a bright amber color. It has an underlying sweetness and a fruity taste. This tea is very mellow and smooth with no astringency or bitterness.

After Angrboda’s post I just had to have some Lapsang Souchong. This tea is smoky, smooth, and delicious with sweet undertones.
