268 Tasting Notes
Just because I’m still finding my taste buds for black teas (even though they most often have the fun flavors!), I steeped this for 3 instead of the recommended 4 minutes. Added sugar on my way to work, it didn’t help. This one isn’t for me. I am very happy I was able to try it though. Thanks again TeaNTees :)
Preparation
Thanks to TeaNTees I have another sample of this. Thank you! I keep planning a Lupicia order but then the responsibilities of adult life take precedence.

I almost got called (texted?) into work today. I said no due to the want of trying the few teas in my stash that I haven’t gotten to and in the hope of sipping some of said stash down.
The dry leaf smells a bit like camp, like a mix between the scent of a campfire and the sauna. But there is something else on top of that smell that I cannot place. I am likely doing this tea a disservice by using a gravity steeper when the directions indicate to “Gonfu brew for best results.” The only thing I get from the first few sips is smoke. It feels almost heavy in my mouth, in a nice way. It is growing on me and I think this would be great for a cooler fall day.

Preparation
This brewed up lighter than I expected for a black tea. The first sips taste like the usual harsh black tea to me. After several sips, it softens up. I think I am getting floral notes.

Preparation
Drinking one of my oldest herbals tonight, Honeybush and Rooibos that I picked up on my Swaziland trip. I cannot believe that was 8 months ago already. Regardless, this one is perfect for when I want something simple. I still like it best with some honey added :)
It’s been so long since I’ve had this one. It is now one of my two oldest black teas! Last time it wasn’t strong enough, this time I think it’s too strong. Added sweetener again, it helped but this still isn’t my favorite. I have over an ounce of this one left, is there anyone out there who would like to have it in their stash?
Preparation
Another sample from long ago from a box of Steepster Select.
Accidentally steeped this for 2 minutes longer than recommended, which is likely causing the bitterness. I am not going to make it through the cup, but it is user error and cannot be blamed on the tea.

Preparation
Second and last sample of this.
Tea latte: 2 tsp (the entire contents of the second and last sample) in 1 cup of boiling water for 10 minutes. 1 1/3 cups of warm milk with 2 tsp of sugar was added. This is MUCH better this way. I think I should just stop trying to drink chai teas plain. Not bad for a cold night.
