drank Pancake Breakfast by 52teas

Love the smell of the leaf on this one. Makes me think of summer mornings when gramps would cook a massive amount of breakfast foods for us grandkids.

The aroma of the liquid is a bit bitter – you can tell it’s black tea. You can also tell that there is maple syrup dancing around in there.

Too bitter for me without sweetener. The addition of sweetener really rounds out the cup for me. It brings out the pancake taste and blends it nicely with the maple syrup :)

Breville – 3 tsp, 750 ml, black, medium

Second Steep – 750 ml, black, strong
Added some sweetener again. Milder, very pleasant, smooth

Preparation
3 tsp 750 OZ / 22180 ML

I love fall and today is a rainy fall day. That means tea and reading for this gal! I was surprised when I found this one in my green tea bucket. I have had this for a year. I received it fro my secret pumpkin last year! I wanted a whole pot today, which requires 5 tsp, according to the suggestions from Breville, in 1200 mls of water.

The dry leaf smells awesome with a dominant scent of spearmint. I did add a tad of sweetener. I am loving the mint mixed with the vegetal tones! A smooth and balanced tea

I had to add some sweetener, possibly because I may have underleafed this. It started off tasting watered down until the addition of the sweetener. Overall incredibly tasty. Made in my gravity steeper.

Boiling 2 min, 30 sec 1 tsp 8 OZ / 236 ML

Finally getting back to my teas (I feel like I say that often!) after moving and way too much hot weather. First time trying this I was compelled to make it as a late night latte last night. The way the peppermint played with the chocolate against the milk was great. Perfect evening dessert for me!

Yum, 2nd steep is even better than the first! Great work Whispering Pines!

Less than a tsp left of this one so I added it to less than 8oz of 195°F water for 2 min. The result is quite weak but I can see that there can be potential if I had put more leaf in. I’ll have to keep my eye on this tea shop.

Where is this tea shop located? I’ve googled to no avail.

Ah, thank you.

Too bad that they only ship in USA.

drank Mango Kiwi by 52teas

This one is pretty tasty. I like that I can tell that it is a green tea and that the fruit flavor is certainly mixed in there. The flavor isn’t exactly mango but it isn’t exactly kiwi. If I think about it I can almost discern one or the other but they compliment each other well.

175 °F / 79 °C 2 min, 0 sec 1 tsp 8 OZ / 236 ML

I love green tea and I love mint. There was a tea shop when I lived in Missouri that had (well, has) a delicious mint green tea that I kept in my stash. This isn’t quite that but simple and enjoyable. The mint is there, though not as strong as I’d personally like.

I cold-brewed the sample I took from another TTB. I thought it was refreshing, and the mint was pretty strong.

Bio

After almost two years back in my hometown I have embarked on yet another adventure. I have moved, yet again. This time for a new job in a city. I can’t wait to see what is in store for me.

I am happy to have found Steepster. It gave me a hobby that I could devote as much or little time as I could during school and I believe that it will continue to help grow that hobby as I now have more time to explore.

I still consider myself newbie to the world of tea. I am still in the process of trying just about everything but have come across a few favorites. So far the only thing I don’t care for is coconut.
