268 Tasting Notes
It’s rainy tonight, making it difficult to study. Trying to focus but it is becoming more and more difficult. I think I may need to overleaf this one. I’m not getting a whole lot of flavor out of it. I’m getting a little rooibos and a little caramel maybe. It is definitely drinkable, don’t get me wrong. I need to try more leaf before I decide if I am going to keep it around.
Preparation
I recently purchased Blueberry Pancake Perfect Match set from David’s Tea. I was very excited to receive it. I don’t think I have this quite right as far as my attempt for blending them. I think I want more blueberry flavor. I am getting some caramel and some vanilla from the Oh Canada! I have already decided that I enjoy it and will likely reorder simply because I love blueberries. My plan is to try each of these on their own and add more blueberry the next time I mix them. :)
Preparation
My David’s Tea order came in today! Surprisingly I reached for this little sample instead of what I actually ordered. I put the entire sample into the boyfriend’s PerfecTea Maker. I think this one may be worth ordering. From how I prepared it, it seems weak and watery. I do detect a fruity flavor that I am enjoying. I feel that with an appropriate leaf to water ratio and maybe steeping it the full seven minutes it would be quite tasty. I would also like to try a cold brew with it.
Preparation
Had a little bit of a headache when I woke up, sometimes it means that I need caffeine. I wasn’t in the mood for coffee so I rustled through my box of tea to find something black. This was the first one I stumbled on and it sounded tasty. I received single steeps with my order of a Kati Cup so, that’s what I did this morning . A single steep in the Kati Cup for about four minutes.
After the addition of splenda, this became more drinkable. It seems creamy. At first I really liked the idea of chocolate-flavored teas. However, most that I have tried are just plain, “yuck”. This seems like it would satisfy a sweet-tooth well without the “yuck” factor. I can’t see keeping this in stock as I feel there are better blacks out there. I just need to find the ones I like.
Preparation
Mixed this with Chamomile Citron by Tea Forte (trying to use up as I am finding things I like more). This is a very good and enjoyable peppermint. The boyfriend and I often have this at night when we watch our shows. I can for sure say that this is something that will always have a place in my cupboard, it may vary by company which one I have but there will always be peppermint on hand!
Preparation
Decided to go with a favorite to get my long school day started. I am going to have to get more of this soon. Only have enough for 2 more cups! Or should I try another green tea in it’s place, hmmmm, decisions, decisions!
Preparation
decisions, decisions. That’s a tough choice to make. Maybe get some more of this, but try something else as well? It’s always nice to have options. And who knows? Maybe you’ll find something else you really like. (And if not, you can swap it or put it in a TTB.)
Chamomile the night before a big exam is a must other wise I keep myself up trying to go through everything I needed to know in my head!
I had to add this one to Steepster. It seems as if I did it correctly. I don’t get a lot of strawberry flavor out of this. At least this cup tastes like most other chamomile teas. Next time I will look when I scoop and aim for the strawberry pieces!
Preparation
I still have lots of this. This was my very first tea purchase and I had no idea how much tea was worth getting at a time. Needless to say, shortly after this purchase, I learned quickly. The boyfriend iced this for me and I am happily sipping on it. I enjoy the fruitiness of this. It also has a little caffeine which is perfect for me right after classes as I need a little motivation to be productive rather than watch Netflix.
This wasn’t as tasty as it usually is today. I can’t figure out why :/
Preparation
I totally get it. Because then you’re like “is it the tea? is it me? did I brew it wrong? is it the cup/mug/travel mug/vessel? aaahhh!”
It’s so frustrating when you have a cup like that. I’ve got one going right now. First steep excellent, second steep, normally also excellent is just wrong. I don’t know what I did.
