268 Tasting Notes
This is a nice take on rooibos, that’s for sure. Enjoying it as I finish up some school work. Adding more of it helped bring out some of the flavors. I can see keeping this one around. I have said it before and I will say it again, I quite enjoy how many options are out there, even for non-caffeinated!
Preparation
I really have been enjoying my loose leaf tea, but I ate at my school’s cafeteria and saw they had tea bags. I have been wondering about gunpowder tea for some time now. I thought this would be an inexpensive way to see if I liked it, especially because i could purchase just a single tea bag. I ended up adding a bit of sugar like I did the last time I had straight green tea in my cupboard. Drinkable, and I feel that since it was bagged I may like loose even better. I won’t hesitate to add gunpowder to an order from here on out!
Preparation
This smells amazing dry. However, I am mixing it with David’s Tea Blueberry Jam as I need some caffeine this morning. 3 tsp of each in the (boyfriend’s) 16 oz PerfecTea maker. My first sip, “Wow, I think I got it right!” and the boyfriend laughs. It likely is more blueberry-y than most would like because I love my blueberries. I am getting the vanilla and a bit of the caramel from the Oh Canada. This is a great way to start the day!
Preparation
I don’t know how I feel about this one. I do know that it is the first tea with ginger that I have been able to drink. It was drinkable, I just don’t know if I will order it in the future. I have one more sample from when I ordered my Kati Cup from Tea Forte. I wan’t to try it cold. I don’t have any thing for cold brewing, yet. I think, since it’s my long day at work, that I will put it in my (boyfriend’s) PerfecTea maker and put it in the fridge for the duration of my shift. It’s an herbal so I would be able to try it right after work.
Preparation
I am happy this has such a wide steep time (4-7 minutes). I walked away from my kitchen without setting my timer! Upon realizing this, I started a timer on my phone and stopped it at four minutes, just in case. Taking my first sips I realize that this may have been a mistake. I think this is bitter, burnt if possible? I also put a lot of leaf in, per my excitement for blueberries this morning. That could be contributing to it as well? I don’t know. I’m not ready to give up on it yet!
Preparation
It is early for this, especially with the amount of studying I did not get done. I simply can’t focus and wan’t to be sure that I get a good night’s rest to start off this crazy week. The first thing that hits me is hibiscus followed immediately by mint. This is very yummy. It isn’t making me sleepy (at least not yet) but definitely relaxed.
