Hidden Gems Tea Box: This tea has a good body. However it isn’t for me. I think the boyfriend liked it more than I did. There is a a good blend of spices towards the end of the sip.

Hidden Gems Tea Box: I’m not sure how I feel about this one. It almost has a coffee flavor. I don’t really even know if the flavor I’m getting is chocolate. There is a little bit of a bite about mid sip that I can’t decide if I enjoy or not.

Hidden Gems Tea Box: I expected more tartness out of this one. I do taste the lime which is great. I also get a bit of the pie flavor. I think I just want this to have more of a punch like when I take a bite out of a Key Lime Pie. Don’t get me wrong, I do really enjoy it. I blame Anlina for introducing me to a new tea company that I have to check out, as both teas I have tried from Lux Berry Tea have been very pleasant. The kicker is that they were both black and I rarely reach for blacks!

Hidden Gems Tea Box: I really liked the smell of the dry leaf of this one. I also tend to go back and forth between tea and coffee depending on my mood for a particular day. I am in a tea mood as this lovely Traveling Tea Box is on my counter but I thought this one would be a good place to start this morning. I cannot drink straight coffee. Keeping in mind that my version of coffee are the foo foo drinks, on to the tea -

I ended up adding milk and sugar to this. Doing that seemed to turn it into a creamy, yummy, hot chocolate. I’m not finding that I am getting the bite that I do when I try to drink coffee on it’s own. I could really see keeping this in rotation for those days that I think I want coffee but don’t want to go to the coffee shop to get a foo foo drink. Thank you Anlina for including this one!

Coming home to this and my first teapot waiting for me in the mail was a wonderful way to end a crazy week.

I think I underleafed this one. It doesn’t seem to carry much flavor. I’m getting a strange fruity flavor and then at the very end of the sip something that feels like mint as a tickle in my throat. I think I’ll hang onto this one and use the rest of the leaf for another pot and see how I feel about it when I attempt to overleaf it.

This tea because I haven’t had it in too long and I’m in a “mood”, apparently according to the boyfriend. This one never fails to make me happy.

On another note – I went to the local tea shop and came back with quite the load. I am finding it hard to drink up the teas I already had and am favoring the newer ones. I have way too much tea that is approaching ten months old!

The boyfriend, the dog, and I went on a nice long walk to Starbucks. I had the boyfriend order this for me in an attempt to avoid the higher calorie coffee drinks as I cannot drink straight coffee.

This blend is pretty tasty. As I am a big fan of mint I don’t mind that it overpowers the other flavors. I do still get some citrus. I didn’t think that citrus and mint would go well together, this tea proved otherwise. I could see ordering this one again.

So, I’ve opened up my first tab, at this not so little coffee shop. There is a $5 minimum on credit/debit purchases so I couldn’t get just one tea bag. I must be close to one of the colleges as there are plenty of people here after seven to satisfy my love of people watching.

I was saddened to see, of course after I plopped the tea bag in my mug and poured the water over, that blueberry flavor was the SIXTH item in the ingredient list.

These stash teas are okay but I’m finding myself thinking that I should have brewed something in a tumbler and had the boyfriend drop me at a library instead. These are plain compared to most tea I have at home. These are sort of like flavored water to me for some reason. They are fine to drink in a setting like this but I doubt I will purchase them for my stash.

Sitting a new coffee shop while the boyfriend attends a meeting. I was proud of myself by asking for their tea menu while I was considering ordering their hot chocolate. I love that tea has no calories and helps me stay in goal!

This tea is making me happy. It is tart, sweet, strong, and fruity. There is hibiscus in the title but it is not overtaking the cup like it often does. I absolutely love the color.
