768 Tasting Notes
A family member bought me the Touch Organic advent calendar for Christmas, and I’m finally getting around to trying the teas – whoops! The flavors are pretty generic, but the box is cute. This flavor in particular was pretty boring. A kind of murky floral flavor. Not a huge fan.
I should probably stop buying lime teas because I almost never like the lime flavoring they use. It’s just so strong, fake, and weird. This one wasn’t horrible, but it wasn’t pleasant either. But if you usually like lime flavored things, maybe you’ll enjoy this one. I just wish the flavor were more authentic.
This is fruitier than I expected. It’s not spicy at all, though you can sense a bit of what seems like ginger. It turns into a mild fruit/spice blend like a cider. Not too exciting, flavors rather muted, but it was decent.
The flavor here is quite light and refreshing. I definitely get its kiwiness. It tastes best when it’s cool, but not cold. The green rooibos makes the flavor sweet and deep. I could see myself drinking a lot of this. I was very excited to see this one in my mystery bag – I love a good green rooibos blend!
Sadly, this one didn’t taste special to me. It mostly just tasted like black tea with maybe a bit of flavor, but it wasn’t distinct enough to say what it should have been. I wouldn’t recommend this one because if I’m going to have a plainish black tea, there are so many other choices of better quality.
I had some of this in a Christmas pack a few years ago and don’t remember being impressed, but it appeared in another Christmas pack I ordered, so I gave it a try. Without milk, the black tea is a bit astringent, and it’s not very chocolatey. When you add milk, it tastes much better, and you definitely get the chocolate. I wish I’d added it earlier! I wouldn’t seek this out necessarily, but it’s pretty satisfying with milk! Though I also had actual hot chocolate today and of course it’s nothing compared to that.
I enjoyed strawberry achoo, but this one is a bit herbaceous for me. It doesn’t taste bad, it just tastes quite herbal and doesn’t have much berry flavor. It’s light and not sour, at least. In some sips you get the fruitiness, but it gets more herbaceous as it sits. So it’s not really for me, but maybe if you like that sort of thing.
