Day 4 of the 24 Days of Tea
Yummmm! I love this tea. I got it before in a caffeine free collection.

At first sniff: Apples, cinnamon, a sweet smell I can’t put my finger on and just baked apple cinnamon goodness. I smell a little nut, maybe walnut the most. I could smell this tea all day. If they made a candle that smelled like it, I’d buy them and light them all over my house.

At first steep: It brews up a very pretty light bubblegum pink colour and is a bit cloudy. It smells like it smells dry. I had it hot today but am going to chill the rest of the brew because I think I prefer it cold. It still tastes good hot though. My one reason for bumping this down in rating is you need a hefty portion in order to brew this strong and the tea is heavy so it’s expensive. But that’s okay. Maybe I’ll get it on sale. I’ve never ever actually owned this tea in large quantities, mostly because it’s expensive when you actually sit down and think about it.

My passion for tea started at a very young age, thanks to my grandmothers beautiful china tea cup collection. I use to brew Tetley’s or whatever version of Orange Pekoe she had in the cupboard and pick out my favourite tea cup to use. It wasn’t until I was in my late teens that I really started to develop a passion for it. My town had the Urban Tea Merchant and it was there I was exposed to high tea and the very fancy Mariage Freres brand. When they switched over to The O Dor, my girlfriend and I found salvation in going for a lovely cup of tea and decompress with some tea scones.

It has since become an obsession. I have a tea cupboard, filled with a very large variety of teas. I also use the Breville Tea Maker to make my tea. I favour black teas, with a close second being North African Mint Green Tea. Because I have the luxury of working from home, I get to enjoy a wonderful cup of tea every morning, and the journey resets daily.
