1184 Tasting Notes
Thankyou so much again TEAVIVRE for this generous sample!
Dry leaf smell: sweet jasmine, very floral
Liqour: light golden
Watching those cute little pearls unroll is pretty!
Taste: light, sweet, not overly perfumey or scented like a lot of other jasmines. This tea has a silky, full mouth feel.
2nd steep: 80degrees, 2minutes, still silky and smooth
3rd steep: 85degrees, 2.5minutes, getting a little weak now, but still has a hint of sweet jasmine
Overall, I would say that this is the best jasmine tea I have had to date! Just wonderful…..this tea deserves to be served at fancy tea parties in pretty glass teapots!
Preparation
Thankyou TEAVIVRE for this generous sample!!
4teaspoons of dry leaf with 24 oz water, cold brewed for about 18 hours. I didn’t really use the recommended teavivre amount because it was brewing so long.
Dry leaf: looks fruity purple and smells wonderfully sweet
Liqour: red/purple
Taste: I was worried about tartness with the roselle, but it was appropriately tart. I definitely got the grape flavour with hints of blueberries and black currants! What a great tasting iced tea. I will certainly have to order more of this to have this summer. I will be making this by the pitcherfull!
Preparation
I have been away for a week in Cuba, not much for tea at those resorts :(
Thank you so much TEAVIVRE for the sample!!!
I thought 100degrees was a little hot, but it turned out pretty good.
Dry leaf smell: floral, slightly floral and vegetal
2teaspoons
Taste: not as creamy as I was expecting, but it is floral and slightly vegetal. Smooth taste, also, slightly sweet.
2nd: 2 1/2minutes, less vegetal taste, more floral, still not getting as much creamy as I was expecting.
3rd: 3minutes, less floral, but getting the buttery smooth oolong flavour more
Overall: very smooth and tasteful tea. Good quality
Preparation
Big move from Saskatchewan in the Spring (still pretty rainy?) to sunny Cuba! Hope you like coffee too! Very busy with El Papa’s Visit! I was surprised that the government gave all the people a holiday for the event! I am sure this was quite an interesting trip and since you love photography you mist have taken bazillion photo’s!
I am really on a iced tea kick because it has been so nice lately!
I cold brewed this overnight.
What a lovely delicate strawberry tea! I really enjoyed this today.
It does not taste tart to me, so I am glad as I didn’t realize that there was hibiscus in this until after I drank it! Yay!
Preparation
i tried this cold brewed because it seemed like blueberries are best enjoyed cold.
This smells like yummy blueberries in the dry leaf.
Cold brewed, I found it was slightly bitter and I didn’t get as much blueberry taste as I thought I would. I will definitely have to add some stevia next time and see how that goes.
Preparation
I still have a little bit of this from the advent calendar.
This is nice and buttery and smooth. I taste more of the orange than the vanilla though. Being vanilla, I thought it would be a little sweeter than it is. It is still a good tea, just not really what I was expecting.
I put about a quarter of a cup in the fridge to chill, and cold, this has a strange taste. This is the first oolong I have tried cold. Not really a fan.
2nd steep: 95degrees, 7 min, for once I like the first steeping of an oolong better. It has certainly lost the vanilla taste.
Preparation
This is one yummy tea. I really liked Davids Tea brand, but this one is cheaper, so I am trying it out. It has less vegetal taste but has less of a mouthfeel than Davids.
It is still creamy and buttery.
2nd steep: 95degrees, 4 min, aroma is amazing, tastes less vegetal which I like, but the creaminess has also diminished a little. Still a very lovely cup, perhaps even better than the first.

My husband bought me a little glass teapot just especially for this tea! I love it – the tea and the teapot!

That is the perfect teapot for beautiful teas! Mine is similar but it doesn’t have a coloured handle and tip of the lid…that is a really nice addition!
