1184 Tasting Notes
This tea is yummy chocolatey goodness.
Who knew you could get such yummy chocolate taste for only 15 calories. It is quite sweet, certainly doesn’t need sweetener. I certainly do get a cake taste, but I would say more like chocolate cake batter than cake.
This is good, but like the other cupcake teas, I wouldn’t drink them everyday. I might get a small 25g bag to have on hand for a while for my “treat Sundays” when I always have a chocolate tea in the morning!
Preparation
Colour: light brown
Smell: dry—amazing, brewed—still smells great
Taste: I think this tastes more like neopolitan ice cream than ice cream cake. Like others have mentioned, I am especially getting the strawberry ice cream taste from it. I don’t think I could drink this everyday, but nice for a sweet treat.
It does leave a scum on the cup though, and leaves lots of little particles in the bottom of the cup. That is a little off-putting.
Preparation
This tea is really cute to look at with those colourful sprinkles.
It smells really sweet, a little apprehensive about it being too sweet.
Colour: reddish brown
Taste: sweet but not too sweet. I get a liitle bit of cake flavour, but also butterscotch/vanilla. I guess it tastes a little like icing.
I certainly wouldn’t drink this every night, but nice to have something sweet when I really feel like having dessert.
This is certainly a more calorie-wise choice than real cake!
Preparation
Backlogging: I finished this bag off and haven’t written anything until now. So I haven’t had it for awhile but wanted to log it.
This isn’t as sweet as I thought it would be. It is a tad bitter and astringent but I do really enjoy it.
It does smell very yummy vanilla.
Preparation
I decided to try this cold brewed because it is very nice out today. This was actually delicious this way. A little bit tart but it worked well with the cherry and floral taste. I will certainly cold brew this again.
Preparation
Smell: sweet grass/hay
Liqour: very light yellow
Taste: grass/hay but not in a bad way. It tastes very fresh and excellent quality. There is a slightly sweet note so that it isn’t bitter.
2nd steep: 90degrees, 2 minutes, just as good as the first
I also paired this with Pomegranate Magnolia white from my local tea shop which was way too sweet and floral….now this makes an amazing tea!! In the middle of both worlds….sweet and grassy!
Preparation
I tried this when it first came out and didn’t review it then. Then it was sold out at my Davids for a long time, I picked it up before it diappeared into the online world. From there, I forgot i had it. Then found it tonight, and made a cup finally!
I love almonds, so this tea is very yummy for me! Very smooth and slightly woodsy tasting, but I do really like it.
If I make an online purchase in the future, this might be in it.
