I love the name of this tea, as well as the backstory, that his lordship had a different black tea for each day of the year! He is my hero! I love black tea so much, in all it’s various shapes, sizes, flavor nuances, ect. I haven’t counted lately, but I’m certain that if I only drank 1 tea a day, I have enough black tea in my current collection to drink a different one every day for 3 months. Of course, I generally drink 2 or 3…probably more, lol, each day. Including all of my teas, I could definitely drink a different tea every day of the year, but who, among us, only drinks one tea a day? :D
I met his Lordship before, thanks to an introduction by cavocorax. I originally wanted to sample this tea because of the name & the backstory. Without a doubt, his lordship is a bearded man, who smokes a Meerschaum on occasion, likes the hunt, laughs often, takes his tea black & bold, but is, like all Lords should be, refined. This tea is rich, thick, savory, & chewy like a homemade loaf of pumpernickel rye, with a tangy citrus marmalade edge. This tea is the reason I was perusing the Devotea website to begin with. I’m glad I did.
Bread and marmalade in the same cup—-mmmmm!
