This tea is actually really good with some sugar, it’s smooth and sweet. This is probably the best straight tea I’ve had in a while. It’s too bad that it is so darn expensive! It’s $20 per 50g… Which is why I used my last frequent steeper reward on it. At least it’s a good tea – obviously good quality. I can taste some of the fruity notes, but I’m not sure which ones. The reason I got this is because of its fruitier notes which is odd for a straight oolong. I think I’m tasting the ripe plum notes to it. I like it. I steeped the same leaves twice already and it’s still just as yummy.

drank Banana Dream Pie by DAVIDsTEA

Saved my one and only sample of this for my birthday today. This reminds me of something else I’ve tried. But this is really good. I taste the banana, and a nice chocolatey background, I like this as a black tea. The more recent banana/chocolate teas have been rooibos, or mate, and I’m not a big fan of those types. So I really think they should bring this one back. It’s really yummy!

drank Peaches & Cream by DAVIDsTEA

This is one of the teas I really fell in love with once I got my hands on it. Since it’s my birthday today I am having some of my favourite discontinued teas! This be one of them!
I’m almost guaranteed to love anything ‘Peaches & Cream’ flavour! This tea is very light and peachy. I can taste the light vanilla flavour too, which is nice. (I don’t usually like vanilla) But I just love this tea. I was so lucky to have DavidsTea send me some extra stock they found of this in their warehouse. :D There’s also a creamy and sweet note to this tea, and I love it.

Yep, this is cinnamon-y, alright. It’s not something I would buy, but since I had it from last years advent calendar, I decided to finish it off. (Well, mostly) This is a very strong tea, and it mainly tastes like cinnamon, also a little spicy and of course sweetness, but that’s pretty much it.

Having this iced with a bit of milk is delicious. I like the peach flavour in this, and I only like flavoured matcha. So this is yummy.

Just got my 50g in the mail, and brewed up a hot cup to try. This is an expensive tea – so it better be good. I don’t mind this tea. I can taste a little note of brown sugar – as it said. Not sure about the ripe fruit though.
It’s a little sweet, and overall I really like it as a black tea – it’s better than some others I’ve had, for sure.

Finally getting around to trying this. This tea has so many different things in it – and the dry leaf seemed very bulky. I don’t know exactly what those ball shaped things are… Maybe the fig? Not sure. Anyway, This tea smells kind of like kool-aid, HOT KOOL-AID XD

Anyway – I can taste the cherries, and some of the carrot I think. Maybe some of the watermelon too? It definitely tastes fruity. As it cooled down I could taste the peony petals more. It’s a pretty good tea – would probably be better if it wasn’t so old.

drank Hot Chocolate by DAVIDsTEA

There are not too many pu’erh teas I enjoy – but there are a few. This has to be one of them. At first, I only liked this as a latte, but today I decided to make it hot with a little milk and sugar. (Though it could’ve done with a little less sugar) This is a nice chocolatey tea, with a nice creaminess to it. I think I’ll find myself enjoying this more throughout the winter.

I really love this tea. I only recently tried it, and I don’t know why I didn’t try it sooner. It’s delicious. The ginger is very warming, and there’s a perfect balance between that, and the pear. Still trying to find the perfect steep time for it – but either way it’s good. I also enjoy this tea iced as well as hot. Overall, this is very yummy.

I’ve been putting off trying my sample pack of this, because I’m trying to sipdown so many other teas I have. This tea is definitely sweet. Wasn’t sure what to expect on this one. The smell reminded me of Mocha Latte, but it doesn’t taste like it. I can taste chocolate, and sort of caramel… But mostly the cocoa beans and husk. Obviously the sprinkles make it sweeter than normal. I’m also not really a fan of rooibos, so this isn’t one that I would buy again.

Bio

Hi, I’m Michelle and I am pretty much obsessed with tea. Some people say I have a problem. I mostly drink DavidsTea – but I am open to trying other ones too.

Things I LOVE in tea:
-Fruits (especially peach, melon, strawberry, banana, berries etc)
-Chocolate
-Lemongrass
-Cinnamon

Things I don’t MIND in tea:
-Stevia
-Vanilla
-Pineapple
—Mint & Peppermint

Things/ingredients I HATE in tea:
-Coconut (Rare exceptions)
-Nuts (Some exceptions)
-Caramel/toffee
-Earl Grey (Bergamot)
-Rice/fennel
-Coffee beans
-Bamboo
-Lavender

I am quite picky with my teas. If the primary ingredients are mixed with something I don’t tend to like – I will try it and its possible I’ll like it. But if the tea is mostly/primarily something I hate – I won’t even try it.
I mostly like Herbals, Green, Oolong, White and Black teas.
