I didn’t really think much of this tea at first. I was using the 20 second steeps that the directions recommended, and it tasted weak. All I got were some very faint darjeeling notes. But then I started steeping it more like my regular black teas (a few minutes per steep) and I’m liking it SO much better. It’s so nice and full-bodied, a little bit spicy, but with some natural sweetness and earthiness (I guess that’s the yam note mentioned in the description). I hope I haven’t committed tea sacrilege by only getting two steeps out of a pretty pricey tea, but I just don’t have a well-developed-enough palate, I guess, to taste anything at 20 seconds.

You and me both. I got nothing out of this and many others recommended for 20-20-40 sec steeps. :) All in one go and I loved it.
I’ve noticed that you have to “over steep” a good amount of Verdant Tea teas. I usually jut go with the “normal” times, as much as I enjoy flash brewing.

So glad I’m not the only one!

Thanks for the tip, this is the first of theirs that I’ve tried, so I’ll keep that in mind if I get any more.
