1092 Tasting Notes
This was never a favorite of mine, I think in part because of the lemongrass. I’m not a fan of lemongrass as the primary flavor. My husband really likes this one though, says it tastes just like Mountain Dew, so I steeped up the rest as a cold brew. As predicted, I didn’t really like it so he drank pretty much the whole pot.

Finishing off the last of this one, but with only one teaspoon left it’s very light. I’m still tasting the raspberry though which is really nice.
*Beginning to notice that I describe all of my teas as “nice” – need to find a new descriptor.

Another cold brew!
I finished off my small pouch of this tea and started in on the larger one. I’m pretty sure the small one had some wonky coconut, but the unopened large pouch seems just fine. I had read a note that this one was really good cold brewed and since I have so much of it I thought I’d give it a try. Especially since I need to finish it before the coconut turns. I don’t taste pineapple at all, or even coconut really, but it’s actually turned out to be a refreshing cinnamon tea. That’s really the only flavor I taste, but I like cinnamon so I’m good with that.

It’s not really fair, but I can’t help comparing this to Very Berry Delicious from My Cup of Tea. I was drinking that one yesterday and loving it. I used the same steeping parameters, but this one just isn’t as flavorful. It has that same red jello / sweet red fruit flavor, but it falls flat for me. I can tell that this has rooibos, because there’s a woodiness in the background. This is a miss for me iced, but I’d still like to try it hot. My husband, on the other hand, loves it both ways. He actually preferred this one over the Very Berry Delicious and has had two cups today already.

Currently: making potstickers, listening to The Magnus Archives, and drinking a cup of this tasty peppermint tea.
This mint tea is from QNTM Leaf Tea, a Black-owned tea company. It’s probably the one I’ve most been looking forward to out of the samples that I purchased. It has great flavor – it’s probably the most minty mint tisane I’ve had. The peppermint is so strong it almost stings the eyes a bit on that first sip, and there’s quite the lingering coolness in my throat halfway in. I really like that this includes three different types of tulsi as well. I have some Vana tulsi from Mountain Rose Herbs that I enjoy and, though I can’t speak to the flavor of the other types, I like the Vana so much that this was one reason I was so excited to try the Mindful Mint. I’m not tasting the cacao nibs, but perhaps with a second steep those might come through? I feel like this tea has a few layers to it. It’s also worth mentioning that it’s very nice even as it cools, so I think this would make a really refreshing iced tea as well.

I was feeling inspired yesterday after reading Roswell Strange’s post about cold brewing this fruit blend so I decided to make my own. I used about three tablespoons in my Samovar tall vivid brewpot which holds 34 ounces of water. I let it steep in the fridge overnight and it is now a beautiful shade of watermelon pink. I like my tea sweetened so I cooked up a sugar syrup and added a bit to my cup before taking a sip.
IT’S SO GOOD, OMG.
This might be my favorite cold brew I’ve done yet. Granted, I don’t do them often because if I’m having iced tea it’s usually super sweet southern iced Lipton, but for a flavored tea this is now a new fav. My husband loved it too and he’s not usually excited about iced tea in general.
First thoughts – it smells like red jello (but in a good way) so berries, berries, berries. But I do also taste the banana as Roswell mentioned. It’s unique but also predictable, if that makes sense? Predictable in a comforting, reassuring way. I really like this one if you couldn’t tell.
Flavors: Banana, Berries, Red Fruits, Strawberry
Preparation
Before steeping, this smelled amazing like the yummy coconut you’d come across on a beach trip or in a tropical drink. While steeping, the strawberry aroma was most present. My husband claimed he could smell it from across the house! Unfortunately for me, the only flavor I actually tasted after taking my first sip was the rooibos. I like rooibos, but this cup was strong and definitely overpowered the other flavors. I would say perhaps they faded over time, but they were so prominent in dry blend and while steeping so I’m not sure what happened.
Flavors: Coconut, Rooibos, Strawberry

I woke up this morning half expecting the site to be down for maintenance or to log in to see an announcement about the official Adagio takeover, but everything seems pretty quiet and pretty much the same. In fact, the first email notification I received today was for a spam post, lol. I’m sure big changes take time, and I’m glad that Steepster is still accessible today (well, for some of us).
According to some of the other tasting notes for this tea, it’s meant to be like a pancake breakfast. I don’t taste pancakes or maple syrup or anything like that, but there is something that does remind me of pancakes. I can’t quite place it, maybe it’s something to do with the cinnamon. I’m probably only imagining it because of the description I read anyway. This didn’t quite hit the spot for me as a breakfast tea; I think I would have liked something a little bolder. I did enjoy it while I drank it though.
Thanks to amandastory516 for sharing! I’m very interested to see what some of the other T2 breakfast blends are about. I hear there’s a sampler.
Flavors: Artificial, Cinnamon

The last time I had this one, I used two teaspoons and the caffeine was overwhelming. I had a few sips and couldn’t even finish it. I loved the flavor though so I came back one more time and tried again with only one teaspoon of tea. The caffeine content was manageable this time, but the flavor just wasn’t there like before. I’m sure there is a happy medium somewhere but I haven’t found it yet.
Flavors: Bergamot
