650 Tasting Notes
The point of drinking tea instead of eating the cake is not feeling guilty but a piece of Lemon Pound cake sounds wonderful right now. The dry leaf has a magnificent smell. You get all the smells of what an actual lemon pound cake would smell like, well minus the frosting. The leaves are nicely rolled; based on their darkness this looks like a longer oxidized oolong. Definitely can taste some lemon and other citrus flavors. I wish they didn’t put the artificial pound cake flavor in there though… seems cheap.
A highly enjoyable tea. If you are having an off day or someone online says something to make you mad (#firstworldproblems lol) this tea will really calm you down. It has a nice nutty flavor along with the roasted notes from the roasting process. I’m impressed with the stems in the tea bags. They are in great shape and look like they were precisely picked.

Currently drinking this one with a sandwich so hopefully that doesn’t knock the flavors off much. This is a cute blend with the gold stars. Though let’s be honest, with what they are made out of I could have done without them. The dry leaf has a nice spicy scent to it with a few chocolate hints. This would make a really good potpourri. The flavor is nice. Can definitely taste the cloves but I’m also enjoying the nutty/chocolate flavors. However, I won’t rate it higher then what I did for their use of artificial flavor and the stars.

Wonderful scent. A very calming aroma. As is the flavor. Nice and gentle. Nothing too strong. The leaves are quite broken. Nothing like tea bag broken but I get the feeling this tea would taste even better if the leaves were more intact. Make sure to steep it under boiling or you will burn the leaves.
Well it says green tea but it’s more like a fruit tea with a bit of green tea. You can’t even taste the green tea. If you prefer it sweet you will enjoy this but honestly it was too sweet for me. It has good flavor but not one that I would get again. I also need to point out that because of some of the ingredients it makes the steeped liquid look kinda gross.
This is a very nice blend. They definitely found the perfect mix of black tea base with spices . Even the wet leaf smell is festive. It reminds me of something in a Christmas past that I can’t quite put my finger on. Maybe hot spiced wine? I bet this would be lovely in hot spice wine! The gentle mouth feel of earthy tea leaves along with the citrusy notes, maybe tangerine?, and perfect blend of spices would make a lovely addition to spiced anything really.

Holy sweet moley. If you are looking for a pop alternative this would be a good one to start with. It is very sweet and really does take you away to a tropical beach. Steep this in OJ for 24 hours and then add some rum. Yum! To be honest I drink more unflavored tea now so it’s too sweet for me but it’s still better then pop.
The wet leaf has the most interesting smell. So much so that I am having trouble being able to put a descriptor to it. Perhaps its hints of eucalyptus in mahogany sawdust in a mixture of compost and wet leaves. It’s such a complex aroma! Somewhat medicinal as well but not in a bad way. A silky mouth feel and dark, clear amber in color. Quite an earthy tea. The aroma carries over into the after taste but the first time the liquid hits your tongue a full force of earthy flavors assault you. I’m not really sure I would say it’s minty like their website describes but it does have that slight mouth clean sensation that mint gives you.
This dream doesn’t contain real vanilla. Even though the flavor is quite good, I feel let down that it’s all in the natural flavors. Or at least that’s what I assume. Regardless, they chose a great base for this tea. I can’t quite pinpoint what it is but I would assume a ceylon. It melds nicely with the rest of the flavors to give it a creamy finish on the tongue. The vanilla flavor is there but definitely not as pronounced as some other black vanilla teas that I’ve had.
