650 Tasting Notes
Wasn’t much info on this one. Really thought this was going to be mediocre but surprisingly it’s quite good. I did luke warm water because I didnt feel like scalding my tongue. The black base could be a bit stronger but the bergamot is light enough that you can still taste it. Slightly fruity aftertaste.
This tea is amazing. I didn’t think could beat Alpanso Mango (and that one is right next to this one on the amazing scale). As soon as you open the packet the mango scent overpowers you. The taste is just the same. Is this base Tie Guan Yin? It matches so well with the mango. I’m cold steeping this one. It’s amazing.

Had to cold steep this one because there are no ceramic cups in the room. I’m tempted to try it hot later and see if the flavor improves but generally I find that most tea I cold steep are a bit stronger … this one is pretty lite. Not enough ‘spice’ to it for a chai. And I’m not entirely fond of the flavor. It leaves a weird aftertaste in my opinion.
This tea has me stuck in a rut. It has a slight flavor reminiscent more of thai cooking then it does of thai tea. Which I was kinda hoping for thai tea but I feel like I should be eating this with a thai dish. It needs a bit more of a kick for it to be considered a chai in my thoughts. Otherwise its good.
