Bug Reports for Sunday 7/21 Update
So I looked through all the posts here and didn’t see this one, so if it’s there somewhere and I just missed it, sorry.
I’m also not sure this is a bug, or just how the site is coded now but whenever I get a reply to a message in my Inbox, it doesn’t show up at the top like it did before the update. I have to look through my inbox to find the message with the newest ‘reply’ date under the person’s name.
Not really a bug I don’t think, but since the update I’ve been getting emails when someone comments in a thread I commented in. Is there a way I can turn that off? Thanks
Is the ‘subscribe to topic’ button blue? Top right corner under ‘start a new discussion’. If if it is, that’s why you’re being emailed. For some reason the boards do that by default for us when we reply to a topic and it didn’t do that before, if you know what I mean. Unsubscribing with the blue button should work, though. It does for me now. (that was broken too for a while)
Not sure if this is a temporary thing or what but the search function is being quite finicky today. It can be hard to get the right tea to come up, and I’ve typically had to type things several times.
i types something…deleted it and types something else and it kept bringing up results for the first thing i’d typed even if i waited. only fixed itself after i refreshed/went to another page
Still having any problems with this? There was some slowness from the search plug-in but should be resolved now…
Possible bug – when on the dashboard for a while, sometimes additional tasting notes are added before I click “See More”. It used to be fine; I’d just see the “next page” of notes, which had a couple repeats at the top. Today, it did the same thing except that the repeats seemed to think that I wasn’t logged in (I didn’t scroll down further to see if all notes below were affected). I reloaded the dashboard, clicked “See More” immediately, and didn’t have the problem. I’ll try to replicate it shortly…
So that just happens when you leave the dashboard open for a while? Or does it happen regardless of how long you’ve had the dashboard page open?
This is happening to me as well. If I scroll down and click “see more” right away, it loads the next page. If I read the page, or if someone posts before I get to the bottom and click “see more”, I get repeats that think I’m not logged in. That, and my “likes” are disappearing. I’ll refresh, and half of the hearts will no longer be red.
Just was reading the dashboard, and when I clicked “see more”, it repeated the notes I just read. Tried it again and it repeated again. :(
I can never tell if i’m logged in or out, it logs me out then back in, then sometimes its appears that i’m logged in but I still have the option to log in lol kinda annoying
Sorry to hear that. When you are browsing are you truly logged in (you can comment, add tasting notes, etc) but it looks like you’re logged out (it has the “login/signup” links at the top)? With the new caching it’s possible when you load a page for the 1st time that it will appear like you’re not logged in (it shows the login/signup links at top) but it should quickly change to your regular profile links (in less than a second).
I’m having the same problem and Kittenna and Tealizzy. I can click “see more” on my dashboard once. After that, it repeats the same notes that were previously under “see more” and says I am not logged in. If I try to like one of these notes it reloads to the top of my dashboard.
Every click of “see more” then repeats those same notes. They would be #s 16-30 on the dashboard.
Chrome, I see I have an update for it so I’ll restart and see if it’s still happening. As of last night it was still doing it.
Yep still happening. Sil has a note for Mother of Pearl that shows up when I first hit see more, I go down and press see more again and there it is again. Here’s the last note on the 2nd page along with the repeating page: http://i.imgur.com/qUFshFr.png
This should be fixed now. Can you try clearing your browser cache for steepster pages and refreshing?
Here’s a weird one: The discussion board skips from 10 hours ago to 21 hours ago, and for whatever reason this thread up shows up on both this page and the second page. Same link, same thread, but two listings. Other threads that have replies between 10 and 20 hrs ago aren’t listed, like the “Share Your Orders” thread (last reply 16 hrs ago)
