FRANK…did someone get a little CRAN-Happy??? LOL – I see LOTS of CRAN with other things in this slew of tea Anne and I went half-zee’s on…lol…that’s ok…because I like CRAN!
The CRAN in this is calmed down by the raspberry and it works well. It’s not overly bitter or overly sweet or even overly loud or overly flavored. How’s that for being redundant? Sorry…I’ve been in a really nerdy mood for 2 days now and it’s not letting up!
Regardless…this is a nice flavored black…nom, nom.
I’m not usually one for honey or hone flavored things but considering this is exactly what this tea is all about – it’s nearly ‘right on’ – It smell exactly like it and tastes like it as well. It’s slippery like honey should be on the tongue…if you like honey you will probably like this!
This one was a rollercoaster for me! First…it DOES smell like Champagne. At first that excited me but then I wasn’t so sure – mostly because of the dryness after-smell to it. BUT…then I tasted it! WOW! It’s incredibly mouthwatering!!!! Juicy. The taste of this tea is yummy. And I really can’t complain about the aroma because it DOES smell like Champagne…I just got a little bit of funkiness to it, I guess. All-and-all this is tasty. Clever little ditty!
Again…going thru my older teas (that are always stored in a cool/dry place not exposed to light) and came across this one. I’m having another cuppa now. It’s still yummy. There isn’t much smoke at all but the fruity notes are subtle and creamy. I’m sharing this with swappin’-buddies SOON :)
This is quite good. It’s more fruity than smoky but certainly pleasant and a good solid cuppa. Neither the fruit or the smoke are over the top enough to interrupt the flavor of the black tea. The Smoke is underneath the fruit, I guess you could say. I like this one more than I thought I would.
As you might have noticed, I was on a bit of a Zoomdweebies kick this afternoon… I finished a cup of this a little while ago. This is nice, a smooth, sweet lemony taste to it, not real sour, just pleasantly tart.
The lemon is not as strong as I thought it might be, but, it was overall a decent lemon flavored black tea.
Preparation
I found this tea to be okay. I liked the key lime cheesecake better. I am also looking forward to comparing this with the lime flavored black. I am not sure what the difference between key lime and lime is, but this tea definitely had something in it besides straight up lime flavor.
Preparation
This is very nice – it tastes, well… like a black tea blend with a drizzle of honey in it.
A pleasant tea with which to start the day.
Preparation
No. But then, I don’t get a thick honey mouth feel when I add a drizzle of honey in my tea. It dissolves and becomes part of the tea and doesn’t alter the texture enough to be very noticeable unless I’m actually focused on trying to detect it. This is simply flavored with honey flavoring, which is most likely an oil based flavoring (like most tea flavorings are), and so it wouldn’t affect the texture of the tea, just the flavor.
I brewed some of this last night to enjoy today as an iced tea… and it is SO MUCH better as an iced tea… don’t get me wrong, I liked it just fine as a hot tea, and maybe it’s just this hot weather talking, but, this is very refreshing and delicious. Way better than anything RTD.
YUM!
Backlogging … I had some of this a little while ago. I really am liking the candied pineapple taste of this. I think I’m going to save the rest of what I have of the dry leaf for the next time I brew up a pitcher for iced tea.
Just choosing something from my Zoomdweebies stash that I’ve not tried yet… this one is the first one that I grabbed.
This is a bit different than I expected. I guess I expected more of a tropical pineapple kind of taste. This is a bit sweeter, more like candied pineapple? And now… taking a moment to read TeaEqualsBliss tasting note on this tea, I can see that she experienced the same kind of flavor…
It’s good though. I like it a lot. Just different.
Preparation
I agree with Caitlin in saying this is a very good black tea but there is little flavoring in there. I guess there is a hint of fruit but I would be able to say it was guava in a blind taste test.
Okay…so…for the rest of today…here’s my game!!!
I will go "dumpster-divin’ so to speak! Not LITERALLY but I will dig dump into my stash and force myself to drink whatever I randomly pick out of my stash!
here’s the first one!
And then I have enough for one more so I will send a little bit to a friend.
