I have to agree with TeaEqualsBliss about this one, it does remind me of the powder-dry gum that used to be packaged with baseball cards (well, in my case, I collected the Wacky Packages instead of baseball cards, but you still got a stick of that dry gum inside).
It doesn’t really possess any notes that taste distinctively like “tropical” to me. It’s not bad tasting though… it’s just a bit different than I was expecting… and once I get past that, I find that it’s an enjoyable cup.
Dang it’s cold! A hot bath didn’t even help. Drank an 8oz cuppa of this hot. WOW cinnamon is definitely there… a bit of orange, wish it was stronger. Not sure I like cinnamon only spice teas… Chais are more my thing. Rating goes up for accuracy though.
Preparation
CLEARANCE BOX TEA 4/20:
Made a gallon of this and have drank 48oz of it today. The raw leaf smells mostly of a sweeter black tea w/ faint hints of artifical orange and cinnamon notes.
7TB plus 1tsp tea
8oz just below boiling water
120oz cold water
Well this is definitely one tea you don’t need to worry about the cinnamon getting bratty. While stronger than the orange slightly, both are over powered by the sweet black tea base. I was going to suggest an Orange Mayan Chocolate Chai, but the flavors have got to be stronger.
Preparation
Backlogging from Saturday Morning. This was alright as far as a mellow apple flavor is concerned but didn’t quite understand the brandied part and the black tea was a tad weak on the verge of turning a little bitter which could have been human error, but…just something I picked up on. Whereas this didn’t taste bad I was left wanting.
My first cup of the day and chose this one by random selection from the many zoomdweebies teas I have.
This is good. The black tea is strong and smooth and the berries have a sweet yet pleasantly tart flavor. Juicy! A nice tea with which to start the day.
Preparation
I think this is my second to last zoomdweebies tea to try, both a sad an happy occasion! I enjoyed this tea much more than the key lime tea. I really like the lime flavor of this tea. I think it melds really well with the black tea flavor. It paired excellently with the peanut butter toast I had for breakfast. I look forward to having this again.
So far my least fave of the Cran paired ones from Zoom-Teas. This smells funky…almost like beef jerky or tofurky jerky (since I am a vegetarian and all) and the taste slightly resembles cran but not so much grape but the two of them together makes this the more bitter of the the crans and leaves me with slight cotton mouth. I could finish the cup but I’m not really diggin’ to be honest. This review prob sounds worse than I mean for it to be…it’s not terrible but not as good as the other Cran pairings that they offer.
My first cup of the day.
Pleasantly brisk with a nice apple flavor. Makes a nice tea to go with my Earl Grey Biscottea – OK… Frank… there’s a flavor for you: Apple Earl Grey Biscotti. :)
Preparation
This one is alright… nice apple-y flavor that brings a smile to my face because it reminds me that FALL is coming! I’m ready for it!
This makes a very nice iced tea. The flavor is sweet and juicy.
Preparation
Okay…dry this smells JUST LIKE…
BIG LEAGUE CHEW, seriously!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_League_Chew
and oddly enough this TASTES like…
the powder-dry gum in the Topps Trading Cards back in the 70s and 80s!
Where I find this to be very nostalgic – it’s very different from what I was thinking it would be. It’s not really fruity or tropical…it doesn’t really remind me of tropical punch.
This is a strange tea but ok, I suppose. My favorite part of the cup was flashbacks to trendy GUMs! LOL
It’s Cranberry, no…it’s peach…no…it’s Cranberry! NO – it’s Peach…it’s Cran-Peach! Every bit of Cran-Peach, actually. This is good hot and cold. I think the flavors are bolder the colder it gets but either hot or cold is a nice cup. For those of you wondering about all of my Cran-Pairings from Zoom-Teas…well, I would say this one is probably more bitter than the other cran pairing teas so far. And I don’t mean bitter as in bad…I mean that natural bitter-cranberry flavor. I have found that the others are not that cran-bitter…but this one is probably more so than the others I have tried so far. Honestly, I like the bitterness to the cran here…it seems to work well with the peach! YUM!
