Twinings

Felt like a real tea after my chamomile apple this morning (really coming to hate that tea – chamomile is not for me!) so I turned to the Lady Grey. I found that I needed a bit of sugar and cream in it this morning, but I find it masks the bergamot too much. A little unsatisfying, but still a nice cup of tea. I think I need to give in, greys are not really for me!

Steeped it a shorter time today and threw in a few granules of raw sugar. Delish!

This morning’s steep wasn’t as delicious as usual…I fear I am starting to like this tea less. Will add a splash of milk and see how that goes.

Still delicious, This cup has come out a little more citrusy than my first few, though the only difference is a lower water temperature. It’s a lovely tea for right now, easing the transition from yummy lunch break to work again.

This time I actually find it a little bitter at the end, maybe over-steeped. I think I would like a tiny bit of sugar and/or cream in it. Inherited habit!

Mmmm, having a mug of this with my breakfast. I’ve always found Earl Grey to remind me of Fruit Loops and this Lady Grey does the same – just the yellow and orange ones! This isn’t a complaint, just a comment on my un-educated palate. I’m quite enjoying it on it’s own with no cream or sugar, and will definitely be redrinking. My 50 count box was a good choice!

Well! This was my taste for the day and I was a little let down when I first slurped my tea expecting the crispness of a chai…but as I accepted that this is not my conventional chai (of course! I know the name tells me that – what was I thinking?) – I liked it a lot. I would call it cider chai. And I am going to drink more of it this winter. But But But! I am still going to stick to my routine Karma Blends Chai every morning. The Cider Chai is more like a 4 PM thing when the day hits it low and the sun gives up on us!

Pretty good green tea. Nice balance of the tea and the lemon. If you can’t keep a bottle of lemon juice or fresh ones around for some reason, this is a good substitute.

I’m a huge fan of this tea. Never had the bags, but I’ve always got a tin of loose leaves on top of the fridge. It’s a perfect rainy day tea; the scents of orange and cornflower will pick you right up! One of the best-smelling teas.

Supposedly it’s impossible to oversteep Lady Grey. I usually try to leave it for at least three minutes to get the full flavour out. I drink it plain; it doesn’t need sugar and it’s herbal-tasting enough that milk doesn’t do it any favours.

I don’t like this tea, smells like chemical vanilla! the real natural vanilla flavour is so different!

Tasty Green Tea — good for a quick cup. Nothing exquisite or anything.

My husband claims this is just warm lemonaide. (I do add too much sugar.) It is a nice tea on a warm evening.

I love this tea in the afternoon. One day I added vanilla creamer by mistake at work, but the flavors work wonderfully together. It’s a great pick me up for the work day.

Not horrid I wasn’t getting any aroma though.
The maltiness is just wow O.O

This tea was my first in buying loose leaf tea. I saw it in the grocery store….I had a tea strainer I got as a gift but had never used. It’s a great option for gunpowder teas. It’s got that light smokiness that you would expect from a gunpowder and at a great price too and you can find it almost anywhere.

This tea was given to me by my best friend I hadn’t seen or heardrom in nearly 40 years time. It was a perfect tea to relax with and remember old times. Great for cold winter days!

Just tried this for the first time tonight. I really love the smokey flavor but I think I steeped for too long. It got pretty sharp and made my head hurt. But it was worth it. So next time, shorter steeping time.

This is my tea of choice today. With the holiday candles burning in the background it is just perfect. It is milder than I expected but when made a little strong it warms the day….

I had this with milk and a little sugar. It was a pleasant cup, but not something I wouold drink everyday. I have had better assams than than this (and also much worse). I don’t see myself buying more of this in the future.

Lapsang Souchong has an incredibly calming and intricate taste. Its strong, robust character reflects against its deep, relaxing smokiness. Twining’s decent Lapsang Souchong calls for a shorter steeping time than most Lapsang souchong because Twining’s tea can occasionally be somewhat bitter. Either way it’s without a doubt worth drinking. A rolling boil adds to the smokiness of the tea.

A beautifully light and refreshing tea, as advertised. A slightly bitter twang, so a little sweetening couldn’t hurt. Definitely save for summer.

My favorite tea. I love it iced, I love it hot… I even drink it lukewarm, I like it with honey, or sugar and sometimes a splash of cream. It’s especially good as an iced tea though… well and hot with a splash of cream.

Twinings has stopped carrying it however! Please bring it back Twinings!

What first introduced me to Irish Breakfast was Stash’s teabag. I loved the assam in it. I prefer Irish over English Breakfast. I find English too astringent, plus I love more assam.

I guess I am a weirdo since I usually drink my Irish Breakfast iced, no additions. I prefer Stash’s to this. This is a little astringent to me. I prefer teas where nothing in needed to enjoy it, unless it’s a chai or pastry flavored tea. This tea needs just a little something to it. So not a staple for me, not bad. I will try this hot with some milk, to see if my preferences change.

For me Twinings is among the champions of bagged tea.

This is a nice relaxing and refreshing infusion. Camomile and spearmint make a nice combo. Very drinkable. Soothing. Sweetish.
