Banana and chocolate. Not particularly sweet on its own, and as is often the case the chocolate part seems a bit thin, but quite tasty with some milk and sugar. I gulped this cup down.
Flavors: banana, Chocolate
Preparation
This was taken to work, and then drunk down from there. Indeed, teas that I’m only meh about go down an absolute treat at work, where I can drink them without feeling like I need to pay too much attention to them. Its glorious!
So I’ve drunk this down! Wahoo!
I’m going to lower my rating, as it could not catch the spark of pure delight it used to. I’ll have to think really hard about putting this back in my cupboard.
So I did what anyone who is fighting a cold and has a bagged tea that I don’t particularly care for would do. I brought this to work and have been indifferently guzzling it down all day long.
I’ve made a huge dent in my tin of it, therefore, which is great. I will get this sipped down pronto!
I’m going to work this year really hard on pruining my teas, to have my cupboard be more balanced towards favorites.
A couple of years ago, when I first came in contact with this tea, I was completely besotted. I found it to be creamy and wonderful, and enjoyed my tin with enthusiasm.
Well, almost without me noticing, my enthusiasm for this tea has waned. I am no longer besotted, and now have an elderly tin of this to drink.
Its not bad. I don’t hate it or anything, but I’m not particularly impressed anymore. Its no longer a creamy dream, and I’m not quite sure if its because its an elderly tin, or if my tastes have just changed.
Either way, its now only ok. Thats alright, I can deal with ok.
So the office I’m in at the moment is right next door to a little café, that often smells quite strongly of cookies. Today is no exception on the ol cookie front, and my sweet-tooth is acting up again.
Enter this tea. Goodness, but this is sweet. Fairly creamy, too.
I feel that, for some people, this will be too sweet, but for me its a nice level of sweetness, without making my teeth ache. And it did help with the cookie cravings.
Tomorrow is Monday. I am still quite overwhelmed by my new job. There is so much to learn, and I’ve rather been tossed in the deep end.
So I’m being extra kind to myself. I’ve been relaxing all day, and now a cup of this sweet, gentle, and tasty tea. And then to bed, to be tucked in with as much rest as possible.
Cup of the evening. I really like this. Its creamy, rich, and just the right blend of vanilla and peppermint. Its really lovely, and I’m enjoying it on the cold nights.
Tonight is extra good, as I have a lovely dinner, a fire going, and a fun movie on the TV, with my significant other beside me. A good end of the weekend.
Now, alas, to start the week again.
Backlogged from last night. I had this in celebration of completing Nanowrimo!
My boyfriend had broken into my tin the night before, loved it, and given me a sip.
“Its like actual peppermint bark!” he said, “so creamy!”
And so it was. Light, soft, creamy and delicious. So it was a good celebration cup to have as well. I really like this. I picked it up out of sheer curiosity, but I’m gonna maybe pick up a spare tin, at least to give to my boyfriend, as he loves it too. Just a lovely holiday style tea.
Also! Now that Nanowrimo is over, I officially consider it alright to drink “holiday” teas. Bring on the peppermint, the figgy puddings, the hints of pine!
Opening the tin, the pungent smell escapes and leaves a strong impression.
This has a tart, bright taste to it. After going through the whole tin (over time), it had an off-sweetness that I started to loathe; the flavors did not blend well.
This might taste good cold, with some sweetener and perhaps other flavors to cut down on the tartness.
Preparation
Received this teabag in one of my catalogs. Figured it was perfect for Turkey weekend. This is a nice sweet blend, not too tart on the cranberry. I really like the blood orange versus a regular orange in this blend. I recently ordered from them so I won’t order this now, but I’d surely add to a future order. I love cranberry teas around this time if year.
I’m adding my review here even though my tin just says Blood Orange Cinnamon and not labeled under Eat, Pray. love.
Decided to sample some bagged tea tonight and this was my second cup. I was really surprise by this tea. It was really tasty, smooth, perfect blend of orange and cinnamon. I personally would love more cinnamon in my cup but for those that love a good blend this has it. I’m not too into orange in my tea so I liked that it wasn’t overpowering.
I have 49 more bags in this tin so if anyone wants to swap let me know! Lol
