Drinking up the last bit of this on my shelf! I quite like it, though I’m not terribly fond of the licorice/anise part of the flavor. It’s difficult to find a good herbal tea blend that isn’t super sweet or full of things I don’t like much (hibiscus, the aforementioned licorice). There’s enough going on here otherwise that I mostly enjoy it, particularly the cinnamon and peppercorns.
I have a small gift tin of this tea, and my brother gave me a large tea cup for Christmas. The color of the cup on the outside is something between mauve and coral. Not orange, not pink. The inside is a greenish/grayish teal. There is a Bible verse written along the inner lip in the same mauve/coral, and there are line drawings of chrysanthemums in the dusty teal color on the outside, with a bit of poetry dedicated to Sisters. Really, a thoughtful gift from my favorite brother. I have three and of course I love them all, but Ross is the one who best “gets” me. And he is also a tea drinker.
On to the tea. Anything that says Blood Orange will get my interest. Add cranberry and it sounds like a perfect winter holiday tea to me. Like a lot of black teas it brews up a rich dark amber color. I took my first sip while it was still very hot and it tasted bitter to me. There may very well be a lovely aroma to this tea that would add to the enjoyment of drinking it, but with no sense of smell I can’t tell that. I added a few small rock sugar crystals and as the tea cooled it was much better to me. At the end of the sip I thought I could taste just a hint of the blood orange. By the time I finished the cup I was quite enjoying it. I won’t go rushing out to buy more of this, but I’ll enjoy the 20 grams I have.
Preparation
I’m visiting family, and saw this in the cupboard. I was happy to get a cup of green tea, but I won’t be drinking this one again. It tastes like a mixture of honey and ginseng, as the name implies, but they do not mix well together, in my opinion. I am not able to taste the green tea at all.
Holiday TTB
Republic of Tea is pretty hit and miss for me, but I love a good vanilla tea at bedtime, so I decided to give this on a try! The vanilla flavor doesn’t come through as much as I was hoping it would; this mostly tastes of sweet cinnamon with just a hint of soft vanilla. However, I’m not getting any of the unpleasant woody taste I often run into with red rooibos blends and this does make a rather cozy bedtime tea for the wintertime. I’m thinking I’ll hang onto this one!
Flavors: Cinnamon, Sweet, Vanilla
Preparation
I didn’t put any sweetener in this. The smell is so comforting on a December night. The cinnamon takes over any other taste but I didn’t mind it. Overall, I wouldn’t go out of my way to get this again but it came with a bundle of two other holiday Republic Of Tea flavors and I will be drinking it again. I’d give it a 3 out of 5 star rating.
Flavors: Cinnamon
Thank you to slb2221 for a sample of this tea :)
Got to admit, I’m not the biggest fan of fruit-green blends, but I still like to sample different types once in a while. Luckily, the fruit smell is more so in the smell and a bit in the aftertaste. Didn’t get too much of a ginger taste though although that could be from a short steep. Altogether not bad.
Flavors: Pineapple

I wanna say I got this from TeaNTees?? I usually write who I got the tea from on the bag but it’s upstairs and I’m lazy hahah
But this is a nice cuppa! It smells exactly like it tastes (I think that’s a plus to tea bags). I’m bias with tea and very rarely do I drink bagged tea, but this one is actually pretty good! You do get some on the melon flavour, but it’s definitely not a delicate white tea. There’s a bit of weight to it. I know I know, I’m probably just prejiduce against bagged teas, but I think it’s because it’s just hard for bagged tea to develop a lighter flavour.
But still, a pretty good tea! If I were to go out and buy a bagged tea, I might reach for this one :)
After a mild, lovely, and bountiful Christmas Day, the weather has turned sodden and sulky. To keep from feeling as deflated as the soggy inflatable snowmen in the neighbors’ yard, I am wearing an obnoxiously tie-died shirt, orange and aqua polka dotted socks, and treating myself to a cheer-up cup of this sweet pastry goodness. Reminds me more of blueberry muffins than blueberry scones, the caramel and vanilla just puts it over the top.
I was certain that a little dairy would make this even more dessert-y, but in truth, it doesn’t affect the taste much. (Mrs. Patmore does not permit amateurs to fiddle around in her kitchen. Sorry, mum! I’ll shimmy back to the scullery and see to those dirty dishes.)
However, this is still a creamy, fruity, after-dinner treat. And a warm cup in my cramping hand is welcome. I have discovered grown-up coloring books. Just what I need. Another way to fritter away an afternoon :)
I love their egg holder in the kitchen! I want one! Now if my chickens will quit molting and get back to laying an obscene number of eggs I could fill it up!
Well, they won’t need theirs after this season … maybe you could offer to take it off the production company’s hands ;)
The Enabler (aka my husband) saw me fondling this at an out-of-town trip to World Market and just silently put it in our cart. I love him.
My tea-newbie love affair with Republic of Tea, back when I was just a beginner, had generally cooled off, but this has stoked the fires again. Blueberry rooibos isn’t anything new to flavored tea fans, but add the caramel and vanilla and this becomes pie-sweet and velvety textured. As always, first cup with no additives; next time, milk to make it blueberry crumble with sweet cream.
Very nice, simple black tea. Unblended Assam was strong but not too strong, just right and it had a lovely richness. I sweetened it and I think next time I would add less sugar; it turned just a tad too sweet for me.
Flavors: Earth, Malt, Sweet

This is nice enough. The blueberry flavor is nice and fruity. This isn’t something I ponder the flavor of, but it’s one of my go-tos when I want a thermal mug of tea to take walking. My contigo holds the temperature of hot liquids so well that if I make black tea, near boiling, it would be hours before I could drink it without injury. Green tea, on the other hand, brewed a bit cooler, is just about right. And the nice bright blueberry of this tea is about right for walking and drinking.
