Loved this tea. I especially liked the nutty flavor of it. It’s pairs really well with Tim Tams.

Wow, this is some good stuff. The mango actually tastes juicy. However, I will say that I wish the chili played a stronger roll. Nonetheless, I am truly enjoying this courtesy of Jaime thanks again for all the treats you have sent me.

I am not a huge flavored tea love, but I love this one. The green rooibos compliments the green rooibos quite well. If you like green tea, and bananas, this is a fun tea to try.

The Republic of Tea has done a nice job of packaging and marketing. I do wish they would do more with loose tea tho. I might consider adding them to the vendor list. I frequently have customers mentioning their teas.

For a bagged tea the aroma and flavor is quite nice. I do get the sage. It is definitely a good combo with the fruity blackberry.
The brewing instructions on the can recommend 3 to 5 mins.
I used 1.5 and got the best flavor. IMO. Bagged teas with the small pieces of leaves infuse so quickly it is practically instant tea.

I could’ve sworn this was one of the few they sold in bulk and loose. At least in their catalog. Let me check…Yeah they do sell it loose. Do they not on their website? Odd.
And they do have great marketing for such an ethically hypocritically company. They really encourage bagged drinking in both price and size but it’s so easy to get distracted by the art on their tins. I nearly bought their “Merchant’s Tea Green Chai” because of it. (^_^;)

Thanks so much for updating me. It has been a while since I checked into these.

I tasted several of ROT’s loose teas while at the Fancy Food Show this past weekend. There were enough different and very enjoyable tastes and aromas that I added some of their line to my inventory.
The particular thing I liked tho, was the Tea Traveler Press. I got those to sell at the shop as well. Most Tea-to-go drink cups I have seen, and decided not to carry, have a separate basket that you have to remove to keep the tea from getting bitter. Then whattheheck do you do with it while traveling. Not convenient.
The ROT tea press has the silicone divider, so, once you press, the tea is nicely compartmentalized. The lid is easy to drink from as well. I think it will be a nice addition to the shop.

ROT has always had a loose leaf line in their wholesale offerings and the quality is generally quite good….particularly their unblended, single orgin teas like golden yunnan, silver rain, etc…. if your interested I could send you samples…they are also quite generous with supporting and donating teas to charity events and tea talks and have supported a number of my events through the years…ROT also recognized a market trend and just this last year changed almost 50% of thier catalog over to focus on loose leaf and the website has also followed suit…

This tea reminds me of Christmas morning. Don’t know how they did it, but they did.

I open the container and take a whiff … CINNAMON BUNS!!!

Yes, cinnamon buns. The smell is of sweet cinnamon sugar. Warm gooey icing and, oh yeah, tea.

Brew it up nicely for my wife and I, and the whole house smells like … CINNAMON BUNS!!!

It was a great dessert tea with flavorful and sweet cinnamon sugar and vanilla. The tea itself, however, was a little weak and disappointing. I would have liked a good bready, malty flavor to round out the cinnamon bun taste, but overall it did the trick for two people with the flu.

Unfortunately this is a limited edition sold by Harry and David, so “When it’s gone, it’s gone”.

Trying out this tea since it’s late night and too much caffeine screws up my sleep schedule. :-)

I LOVE pomegranate so was excited to try out a sample of this rooibos blend. The initial smell of the tea is strong and candy-sweet, more like hibiscus and honey than pomegranate. After it’s steeped, most of the flavor in this tisane is from the smell instead of the liquor. If you had a cold, you wouldn’t taste too much of this tea because of it’s bland, indistinct flavor after the initial tartness. However, the liquor is thick and almost heavy on the tongue. The tea coats the tongue and leaves a lingering but very faint finish of vanilla and fruity red berries.

I’m not sure where the pomegranate is. Overall the tea is not bad. It would be worse if it had an overwhelming taste. It’s just not that astounding either far as taste.

Thank you Jaime for sending this to me sometime ago now. I have finally taken the time to organize my cupboard which is basically in my kitchen and dining room (I have too much tea, it is spilling over in great amounts throughout my house but don’t worry I am not complaining) Anyway, after organizing I now have better access to my samples which I hope to be going through more quickly.

So not bad but I was hoping for more of a pronounced carrot taste. Still I very much enjoyed drinking it. I could draw from it the natural sweetness of the carrot. There is a Indian dessert made of carrot that my mom will make once in a blue moon that this stuff reminds me of it. Of course now I am craving it and will have to request she make it sometime. As for the orange aspect, it was a nice complement to the carrot. The Green Rooibos was the perfect choice to help highlight the added flavors. Yum!

Wow, I really love this stuff; it really satisfies my chocolate cravings. However, don’t expect it to be sweet tasing, as it’s more of a rich chocolate flavor, instead. It’s important to use boiling water and let it steep for 10 minutes or more, in order to get that rich decadent flavor. Also, make sure to use 1 serving for every 6 ounces, if not then it will not be rich enough. Sometimes, I prefer to add a little half and half to really get that comforting dessert like creaminess.

I love this flavor concept, there are clearly some creative folks at Republic of Tea. Lots of orange flavor with a dash of carrot. No rooibos flavor and I’d be curious to try the raw bush tea by itself. Overall an extremely refreshing drink. If you make iced tea, I recommend doubling up bags for a stronger flavor.

Hmm, smells a little like apples. Unfortunately tastes a lot like heavily diluted apple juice. Blergh.

Tried this at a coffee shop when I was visiting my fiance. I thought it was decent green tea. I didn’t notice the matcha in it as much but I like the idea that Republic of Tea had to combine green tea with matcha. I think it would be great for an inexpensive daily tea. I liked that I left the bag in my cup and it didn’t get bitter as green tea can.

It’s been a while since my last cup of this and it called me from a lonely corner in my office. I’m finishing up a cup now and it’s still as pleasant as I remember it! I think I will pass some on to Azzrian

Azzrian

Yes PLEASE! This sounds right up my alley.

2 bags – DOUBLE SHOT!!!!

The color is much more vibrant. The aroma is stronger. The taste is magnified yet still smooth. I will say that I would probably do this 2-bag method more because I do like it stronger!

What can I say…but…Carrots and Orange! YUM!

It’s a little more beet-like this time around too…neat offering!

IdentiTEA

Heh… the name of that tea is appalling.

Michelle Butler Hallett

Glad the flavour works for you, but I’m waith IdentiTEA: the name scares me off. Then the carrots chase me home.

I am LOVING that Republic of Tea is thinking outside of the box on these really unique flavors especially with this Raw Green Bush Tea Line!!!!

The aroma is mellow yet pleasant…I can smell mostly orange and carrot but you can tell there are other ingredients in there too! The Green Rooibos is perfect in this! The flavors of the Orange and Carrot are really awesome together, too! WOW! I can taste a V8 type comparison to it or a fresh Carrot Juice type. I really like Carrot and Orange together…maybe a little too much! This is much smoother than I expected too. That’s nice.

I really think this is special!

Next time I may try steeping 2 bags just to see what the flavor intensity difference is…I could certainly handle more flavor but understand why they went with this smoothness too!

YUM!

TeaEqualsBliss

As this cools a little I am smelling more of a Carrot-Tomato-Orange aroma…I really love the scent! (Even tho there aren’t any actual tomatoes in this)

I may not be able to wait to try my double bag attempt…might have to do that right after this one! LOL

AmazonV

sounds nommy, too bad i’m on lock down

TeaEqualsBliss

Um…LOCKDOWN doesn’t mean you can’t receive FREE tea, does it!? (Hint, hint…I could send you some)

Meghann M

This sounds much better now that I realize Orange red carrot means Orange and carrot flavor. I thought it was just carrot flavored tea. This sounds pretty good!

AmazonV

hmmmm, the lock down is due to cabnet explosion….but maybe i could fit a bit more…

Made a cup of this after finishing up wrapping my presents. I really liked it. It has a wonderful vanilla and cinnamon flavor. It is very warming and relaxing. It is a great night time tea. This goes on the mental get this at some point in the future list.

I am liking this the more I taste it. I find that while I would like there to be a little more chili taste, it might just be perfect for later at night, because I don’t want something too spicy at night. It has a nice warmth without being too spicy.

Delicious combination of flavors!

This is really good! I like it cold or hot – the mango is the strongest flavor, with a bit of chili that hits at the end. It isn’t hot, but just enough spice to keep it from being too sweet.

A very nice contrast of flavor!

My favorite. I order this 250-400 teabags at a time. Great as is, or with a little milk and/or sweetener. Very tasty, but don’t overbrew it.

Got this for my little guy (20 months) who always begs for “Sip, daddy, sip!” when I am drinking my brew of the day. Since mine are always caffeinated I thought I’d get him something appropriate. I have brewed this twice (different steep times), added honey to sweeten it, tried it warm and cool, and he refuses it either way. When I tried it (both times) I think I know why… It tastes like what I can only describe as “wet paper.” I know this taste because I shot spitwads as a kid in school, and used the institutional roll paper towels from the restrooms. This tea tastes just like that!

Maybe it was just a bad batch of bag material, I don’t know. I am returning it for a refund, and will try to find something else for my little tea-maven!

I mixed this tea with mighty leafs organic breakfast to make a pot of minty black tea. This tea is better plain, but it was an enjoyable cup. I think I am gonna drink the rest of the pot iced.

So I haven’t been logging teas at all lately. Classes have been ending. Finals have been starting. Christmas stuff has been happening. And both me and my boyfriend have been sick. I have however been drinking tea and my boyfriend has been drinking even more than me – yay for tea converts – haha.

This is the second tea in my wellness tea of the month club. This tea is positively delicious! This tastes a bit like Southern Mint Tea by Revolution which I happen to be running low on and which I adore! But it tastes like that tea mixed with the cider from my favorite restaurant. Its minty with a strong dose of cinnamon and just a hint of sweetness from the stevia. I have a feeling that this tea won’t last long! Its quite delicious!!
