So I have to admit that this is the first green rooibos that I have tasted. I’m hanging out at my favorite coffee shop while visiting my fiance. I’m enjoying it with a ham and gruyere pastry. This is very enjoyable. I like the body of this tea. I have to agree with TeaEqualsBliss this does taste like a V8 juice combination. I would purchase a tea of this.
This tea is really tasty. I love the tart cranberry with the zesty citrus of the blood orange. The flavor is really blended well with the black tea. I think I like this more than H & S Cranberry Autumn as it isn’t as strong on the orange, and more of the black tea shines through, but I would have to compare them again. Quite tasty.
Preparation
Second steep: Amazingly just as strongly floral as the first steep and as pleasanperfect with a dash of Ditty Bops. Very smooth.
Third Steep: Still as deliciously floal as the first steep! This maybe due to what I thought was over steeping (Six minutes!). Surprisingly, the brothy mushroom taste has receded before the flowers.
I wanted to start this Sunday off happily so I picked a tea from my swap with Ellen and a few tracks of the Puppini Sisters and a blood orange to shake off sleep. They pair like a good trio should.
Very delicious! There’s something brothy about it hot with fruity notes I can’t pinpoint. Non-malodious Durian? (Whoo, there’s an oxymoron) There’s nice chocolate taste that slides around with the mushroom broth flavor. Mmm! Another meal in a teapot. Now I want chocolate mushroom miso shiru for breakfast…
Preparation
This is one of six republic of teas selections available where I work. I have been trying to alternate this with Earl Greyer to cut back on caffeine. This is a mediocre tea that smells and tastes a bit like medicine. It works as a hot beverage. I really should bring some of my own teas into work. My cabinet would thank me!
