I finished this one up last night and i can’t really recall how i felt about it. I have a vague sense of it being a little strange tasting in that melting pot of flavours sort of way but i didn’t dislike it – it sort of worked. I just don’t think i’d ever need the large quantity that necessiteas tends to sell their teas in. I’d love smaller sizes.

This tea, like so many other Necessiteas blends, pretty accurately captures its namesake. Caramel deliciousness shines in this tasty cookie-inspired tea. Check out my full review here: http://sororiteasisters.com/2017/07/24/white-chocolate-samoa-from-the-necessiteas/

Thank you for this one VariaTEA!
We were practicing making complicated drink orders for customers with the new tea guides at work a few days ago, and I happened to have this tea with me so I used it as sort of an example for those weird, complicated drinks. In hindsight, personally, I think I should have just tried this one straight because then I’d have a better feel for the typical flavours of this tea rather than my weird specialty order of it – though it did taste quite good.
Here was my order….
- 1/2 pump agave
- Two small splashes of skim milk
- Four ice cubes added after the water has been poured
And yes, people really order like that.
- Perfect level of sweetness; tasted like rice krispies cereal with sugar sprinkled on top
- With hints of vanilla/marshmallow
- I COULD see the “Marshmallow Krispy Treat” comparison
- But it did remind me a bit more of a bowl of actual rice krispies cereal
- Very smooth, well balanced flavour
I’d definitely be curious to try this one again in the future if the opportunity arose.
This tea really does remind me a oatmeal raisin cookie. For me it was more the smell then the taste. It’s base is a black tea and I am only recently trying and learning to like some black tea flavors so keep that in mind. It was fairly smooth to me and I could smell the cinnamon and spices. There is cane sugar in the mix so it needed no added sugar for me. Pipping hot I didn’t enjoy it as much, but letting it cool just a bit brought out the cookie flavors.

Thanks for this one, VariaTEA!
Steeped this one up hot at work, and while there wasn’t anything I didn’t like about it I also just thought it tasted somewhat weak in general. Like, watered down? Yes, there was some chocolate taste and I certainly got the cinnamon, and then some other more generic spice from the cardamom/clove/etc. but nothing that really gave this any sort of impactful presence at all. That sounds harsh, but it’s also just true…
So, I kind of decided to use this as a guinea pig tea of sorts – we just got two new kinds of agave at work, and the one the staff was most intrigued by was the chocolate so I bought a bottle for staff use. I’m not a big agave person myself, but since the flavour seemed like an appropriate match I gave it a go. I certainly wouldn’t buy a bottle of the agave for myself to use at home BUT I do think it gave this tea the extra chocolate richness needed to not feel flat/bland.
So all in all it worked out.
I liked it. I steep it closer to 4 minutes but that’s my personal preference. Nice black with dessert like flavor. I don’t usually like strong black tea so this was a pleasant surprise. Nice notes of rice and marshmallow but not overwhelming. I keep going back to this one.

First tea of the day. Quite enjoying this nicely balanced blackberry and maple on a black base. I am not picking up any doughy goodness, but the maple sweetness and berry is enough to make my happiness complete.
Thanks, VariaTEA, for adding this to the box, and thank you also for noting that it needs a five minute steep to develop all the things. Otherwise, I would have given it a brief dipping as I tend to do with black teas in general and missed the boat entirely.

Preparation
Finished this one off today. thanks for sharing variaTEA. While this has a really nice blend of spices, it’s not something i’d reach for all the time.
evening cup while playing all creatures big and small. We’re doing a 10×10 challenge with games this year and so far we’re on our way to actually doing well with it this year. If you figure 10 games a month so you’ve got 2 extra months in case life gets busy…we’re at 7 games so far. And not all of them are with our “shorter” games. So yay! We should get a chance in feb on vacation to play a bunch as well. Nearly done this one, but i’m ok since i still have 52 teas gourmet rootbeer to keep me company :)
This was another one from today that i had before trekking out of the house to pick up a few things for dinner. I really need to get around to trying this one as a latte…its different from 52 teas rootbeer, which makes sense as this is rootbeer float (nm that the base is different too) but there’s a place for both of them…esp since david’s tea made their rootbeer float go away heh
Last tea of the evening…here’s hoping the other half and i get a chance to game a little bit this weekend. I’ve got some serious hankerings for game time, and sadly no one to play with these days :( Really enjoy this one, though it occurred to me that now i have 2 rootbeer teas and a cola tea. lol At least one is caffeine free! :)
