This was my first one to try. Mm it was simple but satisfying. The strawberry held it’s own against the chocolate, and I got a bakey smell and taste! The boy thought it was just so-so, but I think this is a nice treat that doesn’t overwhelm the tastebuds.

I’ve really enjoyed this the couple times I’ve made it, but yesterday I had a friend over for some New Year’s Day laziness and made several cups of tea for us, including three infusions of this one. I was shocked by how well it held up in re-steepings! The bubbly, soft, juicy qualities of the base and the peach and tangerine flavours just kept giving. Delicious, and bumping the rating a little!

I had afternoon tea on New Year’s Eve at a place that included a glass of one of their jasmine-fruity whites made into sparkling tea. I love that idea, and I think this one would be amazing that way. It already makes me think of champagne.

Yum! Ripe, juicy peach and sweetly delicate white tea. On my first sip I thought that this would make a great Bellini; I get a kind of sparkly taste from it that reminds me of the champagne. That must be the tangerine. This is really nice and very well-balanced.

I went on a mini-spree at Tealish with their 25% off code plus a gift certificate I had from months ago. I am loving how much tea I got for what ended up costing me $25!

I have decided: I really like Tealish. They’ve been appealing to me more and more than DT lately because the tea seems to be higher quality and it’s nice supporting a local business. I guess DT is a local business, but they are rather different at this point.

Anyway, this rooibos. I almost bought MORE Fairy Dust but I have a good 50 g left so I thought I would try the other new green rooibos blend they released. I’m glad I did! It’s chock full of various fruit chunks and flower blossoms. When I opened the bag it smelled overwhelmingly of raspberries. Fresh, juicy raspberries. This continued as it steeped. And the taste follows suit. This is the most legit raspberry I’ve tasted in a tea. I actually think I avoided this one at first because I haven’t enjoyed any of the other raspberry-flavoured blends I’ve tried before. This tastes like raspberries, not just raspberry flavour. There’s a nice background hint of tropical papaya, too. Again, this one delivers exactly what it promise. It’s a great fruity green rooibos.

I’m enjoying another cup of this at the moment. But, Steepster, I have the actual worst tea news ever: my Breville carafe broke about an hour ago. I had the shakes from a quick drop in blood sugar and somehow managed to drop it. I don’t really understand how, but it was absolutely heart-wrenching! Even worse, while you can buy the base and assorted other parts for the tea maker, it looks like, for some reason, you cannot buy just the carafe as a replacement part.

Please wish me luck in coping without it/plotting a replacement strategy that seems impossible this time of year!

This tea is very fun. It looks just like the photo, with big red strawberry chunks and chocolate chips. It also smells totally awesome, kind of like candy but not so cloyingly sweet. I think maybe it smells sweetly bake-y, so I guess I’m getting the “donuts” part.

It’s very tasty and holds up to my hopes, but it’s not out of the ordinary. Chocolate, strawberry, malty black tea. You can’t go wrong with such a combination, really. This made a nice first cup of the day at 5 pm (the horror!).

Full disclosure: I am a sucker for anything carrying the name of a certain reindeer.

So when putting together an order online to possibly pick up in-store, I discovered that for a few extra bucks, I could have it shipped to my house for free…so this was a no-brainer.

It’s quite good! The cranberry and vanilla mix together well enough. It hasn’t blown my socks off, but it won’t be a hardship to finish the bag.

This was a very good black blend! The spices mixed together well, I especially enjoyed the bit of bite from the peppercorns. The cinnamon speaks up, but not overwhelmingly so…overall this was a very tasty cup! This is a tea I will enjoy while we have it, but I’m not entirely sure it will be one to replace when the bag runs out.

Well, I started off my day with a cup of this, but then I got sucked into Occupy Wall Street news from last night and it got cold on me. I did have about half of it while hot, and while it is pretty good, it is not as good as their Vanilla Decaf. Boo. Hopefully they have some left in stock. It’s creamy, but not as creamy as the other tea. Wish we had milk in the house.

So now I’m freaking out a bit about what is happening in New York and what it looks like will happen in my beloved Toronto tonight (About an hour and a half ago, Occupy Toronto was given eviction papers. They have until midnight to clear out). I need something calming.

Mmmmm. This is a very tasty tea, but I didn’t realise that it was decaf so I think I need to go inject a mate directly into my veins now. Zzzz.

But. I think we have figured out the key to Tealish blacks: short steeps. This turned out light and creamy, the vanilla very mellow and natural-tasting. Delish.

Was craving a black tea, but it’s past ten so caffeine is not an option. Vanilla decaf with a shot of sugar free vanilla syrup to the rescue! Perfect and creamy and just what I wanted.

So I have good news/bad news. Good news is this tea was not discontinued, as I was led to believe. Bad news is I oversteeped it, boo. It’s decaf, and I’ve been on an herbals kick, so I wasn’t paying attention and treated this like an herbal. Blegh. Very, very bitter. Oh well, I’ll remember next time. It was still a decent cup, despite being steeped to hell and back.

So this tea has been discontinued by Tealish, I think because the Vanilla Cream is basically the same tea. I’m going to have a cup of that this morning to check that theory. I had a cup of this last night and I was blown away by it. It was delicious! I know Vanilla Comoro from Harney and Sons is supposed to be the decaf vanilla black, but this tea blows it out of the water. It’s sweet and creamy and everything I was looking for in a vanilla black…and I’ve been searching for a vanilla black for a long, long time. I believe I may have found it. I desperately hope my theory is true and that the Vanilla Cream is the same tea with a different name.

Now THIS is the tea that made me start to enjoy my cup of Chai.
All else failed miserably and after each cup, I was left wondering why in the world people were raving about a drink that tasted like bile.

And then Spicy Chai to the rescue! :) Soy&stevia work wonders with it too.
I still prefer my green tea over chai a hundredfold, but this one is definitely one of my favourites now, and was also the first to go (as in I actually finished a bag of it out of dozens of other teas I have).

I can’t wait till I’m back in Toronto so I can try their coconut chai which happens to go out of stock every time!! That says something, and it makes me excited!

I’ve tried around 30+ Davids Teas. I tried 2 of theirs. I love tealish. I like David’s Tea.

I’ve tried just two teas from Tealish – Spicy Chai and Patisserie.

I love my desserts, but I can never seem to find satisfaction in these ‘dessert’ teas – all the ones I’ve tried, they’ve failed. But Patisserie comes the closest to making me feel that satisfaction of eating freshly baked bread, cookies, cobbler, whatever it may be.

And you can actually taste the nuttiness of something in there (haha, I forgot what goes in it). And I do love teas I can enjoy with my soy&stevia or rather it just be fresh (one or the other), but this one’s an exception. It’s not ‘fresh’ but it definitely doesn’t need the creamer. It’s better without it.

Had this yesterday before running out to work…no. Just…no. It tasted burnt and bitter and blegh. Hopefully I can find a way to make this bearable.

Am not having a good oolong day today. Wasn’t sure about this tea, because my experiences with Tealish have been hit or miss. Miss. Definitely miss. No matter how you prepare it, the caramel tastes burnt and the oolong is nearly invisible. Tried a couple different steeps to see if I could take away the burnt taste and no joy. Sad.

I’m so sorry I betrayed you, my love, by letting you oversteep. Ah, what could have been. Still, I love this tea beyond all reason. Gingery sparkly tingly fizzy energy-y goodness.

Tried a cup of this in a desperate attempt to stay awake longer after a full day of tea tasting and shopping.

It did not work.

First time I’ve logged this and actually agreed with the “last drank on” box.

Anyway. I like tea again! Yaaaay! And today is St Patrick’s Day, so I decided to start it off with a green (see what I did there?). Now, it’s a big deal for my family. We go out, get blind drunk by noon, and then sleep it off until six. However, I don’t drink any more (yay medication! boo medication.), but I finagled it so we’re hitting up the pub that has the Mystery Box of Tea. Tea for me all day!

Re: the tea. I’ve said it before. I’ll say it again. This tea is simply the best. I do think I oversteeped it, which means the grassy notes from the sencha start to fight back against the tingle of the ginger.

I obviously don’t log this as often as I drink it; according to Steepster I last drank it at the end of January, but I make a cup every other day, maybe even more frequently. It’s my go-to tea for sluggish mornings, or any time I need a bit of sparkle in my life.

Brewed it a little weak this morning. Maybe a little too cool, too.
