Another one from the swedish chef! I need to get through some of these sipdowns so that i can try and get back to working on my older teas :) This isn’t a bad nutty tea. What i like is that this is NOT almond…not that i have issues with almonds but i find a lot of nutty teas seem to take on a generic almondy sort of taste. There is a nutty bitterness to this tea, which i rather like. It’s not a sweet tea and that suits me just fine. Adding a little milk to this made it even more truffle like which is nice, since i honestly don’t really get any chocolate feelings from this one. still enjoyable though!
thank you Fjellrev for this sample from Tea Desire. This doesn’t rank as a vanilla tea that will need to be restocked, but it was an intresting one. it reminds me a little of the one from tao leaf…and i can’t place why. Admittedly, i was distracted when drinking this with the Nazi episode from Fringe. Hard to pay attention to tea with all that asphyxiation going on haha!
Final count: 148
i’m still not sure how i feel about this one. I’ve been sipping it…trying to collect my thoughts…sipping it some more..and now the cup is gone. I think the final verdict is that i quite like this one, though it wouldn’t be something i’d restock myself. It’s a white tea….but it’s also creamy and delicious. it’s coconut…it’s not really pineapple, though as it cooled there was a bit of a fruity sort of taste.
it’s also a pretty tea with yellow rosebuds that are nice to look at, but thankfully, don’t turn this into a floral nightmare for me :) thanks my dear swedish chef! tasty!
Finished the last of this off this afternoon. For whatever reason, i am simply exhausted today. It’s not helping with the getting things taken care of around the house, but at least there’s also monday to relax this weekend. I enjoyed this alot. I think i’d rotate this into my cupboard here and there for when i want a cinnamon tea.
Another one from my swedish chef! After having this one today, i feel like maybe i’ll use the last of this to try it steeped in milk. I think the vanilla in this one really helps to make the cinnamon feel like a creamy delicious tasting cinnamon bun sort of tea rather than a ZOMG CINNAMON HEART tea ") I am quite enjoying this one :)
Thank you Roswell Strange for sharing this with me. Tbh, I have been putting this off because your description really did not sound all that appealing. I mean “bitter almond” doesn’t exactly scream appetizing. Unfortunately, I totally understand what you mean when you say “bitter almond” because there is definitely a bitter flavor to this. This is just not for me.
Flavors: Nuts
Preparation
I still haven’t tried mine yet… I really like the smell, but yeah – the bitterness thing weirds me out a little. I don’t want a tea that’s going to purposefully be bitter.
Odd floral note in here that tastes really artificial. Where is it coming from? I otherwise really like this, a nice sweet chai blend, the apricot is quite lovely, however this fake perfumey whatever-it-is ruins it for me.
1.5 tsp in 12 oz.
Flavors: Apricot, Cinnamon, Flowers, Peppercorn

Sip down cold brew style. No repurchase for me but it was fun while it lasted. Next I’m going to make some coffee, particularly some ultra yummy Second Cup Caramelo, with a generous helping of St-Rémy à la Crème.
It’s cleaning day and I need to do this Leeroy Jenkins style.
Last “milk” oolong in the Battle of the Milk Oolongs series. RIght away, you can tell this has a lot more fragrance than the others. And I’m talking creaminess, and almost caramel-like too.
Yeah yeah. it’s not a true milk oolong, but I really don’t care. What matters is how it tastes, and it indeed tastes lovely. I can see where others get sweetened condensed milk. It definitely has that going on. I actually oversteeped this as I was frantically putting on my makeup because today already sucks so much; yet, it didn’t turn out bitter or vegetal. According to my last note, this was a little on the bland side, so I wonder if that was due to a much shorter steeping time. Time will tell.
For now, I’m really glad I picked this one up.
Trying this for the first time. I’ve only steeped it once, and don’t feel like doing it again right now since I just had a Nordic mug’s worth of it already. The dry leaf does indeed smell a little on the caramel side.
But I was hoping for more of the milkiness/carameliness in the flavour. This is almost on the bland side? Like a very light oolong. I let the kettle cool for around ten minutes and let it steep for around four, so maybe I need to switch that up.
Will need to experiment further before settling on a rating.

ooh! fancy with the new steepster setup!
i love the smell, i love the swirly chocolate nutty heart chips and the slices of strawberry, i love the packaging and the ever generous spirit of MissB for passing it on to me because of her allergy to strawberries…. but i don’t love the tea!
i have oily dots across the top of my tea and an almost salty/savoury nut twang on the back of my tongue. i don’t taste any strawberry. the oil makes it seem very thin. it was a beautiful idea, and had a very pretty visual, but i do not like the tea and i will not recommend it now that steepster is prompting the question specifically. RIGHT up until the drinking everything was great.
FLAVOURS IN ORDER: SALT, nuts, chocolate (dimly), wood

Eighth day of Christmas time traveling tea! I have been drinking this tea sparingly since I got it, because I love it! It’s very naturally sweet, and full-bodied. When I say naturally sweet, I mean it; it tastes as if there were sugar in the cup (there’s not, I checked.) It’s also just very light. In short, it’s delicious. Thank you so much to Roswell Strange for this lovely tea!
I’m humming Light My Candle (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OlVBOxVCjCU) because I just got back from RENT at my school. It was amazing. I am so inspired by everyone there. Also, It’s the second day in a row i’ve seen it, and it still brought me close to tears. So this is a nice way to end the night.
I’m so glad you like it! :) Light My candle (really, anything with Mimi) was always my least favorite song from RENT.
I don’t like the song itself, or how it’s done in the movie, but the way our cast did it was amazing, and the actress playing Mimi was fantastic. My actual favorite song is probably Tango Maureen. Or La Vie Boheme. The music itself isn’t that good alone, I just love everyone in our cast, and the story.
A sample from Fjellrev! It was the Tea On Top today, so I picked it. :) Lucky tea.
It’s pretty tasty! Really gentle flavours, although they are strong they aren’t IN YOUR FACE or super duper sweet. It is a sweet tea, but it’s not like ahem teavana.
Really, really nice. I could totally see picking some of this up the next time I visit Nanaimo.
Thank you! :)

Sipdown! Mom is sipping down the White Guava Ginger right now too, so that makes this 128. This is so good, I’m really sad to see it go. I’m sure we won’t be apart for long, though!
This time I got much more lemongrass, but it’s still delicious. It’s a little more savory and herbal (and lemony, of course), but there’s still that underlying creaminess that makes this tea so good. I’ll definitely pick this up once I’ve used up some tea!
Resteep! I actually wasn’t sure this would work because there are so many non-tea things in this blend, but luckily for me it does. Again, this is incredibly creamy. There’s more rose and strong coconut and pineapple this time around, with not much of anything else. It’s fruity and light and definitely worth the effort of the resteep.
Another surprise sample from MissB! Rose and tropical fruit sounded good tonight, with the added bonus of being a green/white blend. I’m still trying to avoid caffeine after about 7pm, but I’m bad at it. Caffeinated teas are just so delicious and much more populous in my cabinet than decaf options. I guess I’ll try to keep it to a minimum with whites and greens instead.
I expected this blend to be a little delicate, but it actually smells pretty bold. In fact I can smell it through the bag! As it brews it’s very nice, mostly coconut and mango and pineapple with some lemongrass and rose. I never would have thought of it myself, but the mix works.
This is another one that tastes amazing! So creamy and fruity with just a touch of floral loveliness. I’m used to pink roses in my tea, and I’m not sure if it’s the mix or the fact that these roses are yellow but they taste subtler and more velvety than I’m used to. I think this is going on my must-have list (which is growing at an alarming rate…)
Too much rooibos, missing the kind of flavoring that I love. Any flavoring, really… I just got almonds out of it. Which is cool and all, however the predominant flavor I got (when I had it, a few hours ago) was rooibos. Boo.
Preparation
For the first time, my son turned his nose up at this tea last night. I get it… there was something less desirable about it. More floral, less caramel goodness, a touch drying. Not the normal cuppa I’ve had, although that’s likely because it was the end of the bag…
