refreshing mintiness.

This refers to the bagged version of this tea, my first tasting of kukicha. I went with quite cool water, about 165F. A one minute steep gave pale amber liquor and a truly rich nutty roasted flavor. It tastes more like a dark oolong than a green tea, but the package says “roasted green tea.” I like it, and I can tell that the bag is good for a resteep!

I steeped this tea for just under 3 minutes. It had a rich color but a disappointingly low amount of raspberry taste. A “hint” is right. I found it quite soothing.

Mmmm….warm….

A good standby. Wish I had some milk.

consistent in the joy it brings… unexpectedly delightful in it’s definite oolong character with the right amount of flavor. indeed.

My favorite peach tea.

This is my favorite.

Really faint with just the slightest sweet tone. I can get a bit of raspberry on the nose, but I tea doesn’t taste anything of raspberries. It works for me, but it’s nothing special and it’s not what I was expecting/hoping for. Maybe I could have steeped it a little longer…and I gotta get away from all the tea bags I have.

I prefer to make my own chai, but when I am looking for a quick, decaf alternative, this one does the trick. Good, not great.
