Very nice blend of spices.

Woah, this tea has some serious pucker power – it basically tastes like slightly diluted lemon juice at first and then you get a viscous kick from the ginger that leaves a burning sensation in my throat. No subtleties in this blend!

Unless I was eating something sickly sweet this isn’t a tea that I’d actively seek out.

The lemon sort of takes a backseat to the ginger, but it’s still a good cuppa. It went very well with a sweet dessert.

I also avoided this one for a wile because I mistakenly thought it would be sour.

Me too…but turns out I really like it; especially the smell.

I always brew this very strong, and have it with milk and a bit of honey instead of sugar. One of my favourite chais.

Yes, that is one of my favorite ways to have this tea as well. Good choice on the honey.

Very tasty. Perhaps a bit more clove-y than I like, but good as long as I don’t brew it too long.

This may or may not be the last bag of this tea – I’ll have to check the tea cupboard tomorrow. Anyways if anyone wants to know my thoughts about this tea please read my previous steeping notes about it. :)

You know, with a bit less steeping some of the fruit flavour does come out a bit more, and if I concentrate it actually is sort of mango-y. Still a pretty ‘Meh’ tea with too much hibiscus in it.

Backlogging from last night. If only this tea tastes like it smells; the scent is probably the most mango-y part of the tea.

Fruity but not really what I’d called mango or passionfruit though, sadly. I want to love this tea but it’s just not doing that much for me.

I like this tea now that I’ve steeped it longer. The fruitiness comes out more and the tart bitterness of the safflower and hibiscus isn’t nearly so pronounced.

I couldn’t really taste any mango or passion fruit distinctly – mostly all I could taste was the safflower (which isn’t unpleasent mind you). I might just need to steep it longer so I’ll reserve judgement until then.

Here in Texas, we’ve had more than 50 days over 100 degrees F already this summer, and it’s that hot right now. But I love this double spice chai so much that I cranked up the air conditioner and enjoyed it hot, or at least warm. It just doesn’t taste as full, creamy and spicy when I ice it down!

As a child of the 80s, I would like to note that these tea bags smell exactly like Purplesaurus Rex Kool-Aid. Accordingly, I sweetened it with sugar and served it over ice, and it is quite tasty.

So light and fragrant and fruity and sweet and delicious. Definitely a good, inexpensive, summertime tea.

Yum! I don’t like most green tea. I like this.

I did not like earl grey till I drank this. Now I really want to try other labels. This tea has a strong bergamot aroma to it. It carries over in the final tea but no too much.

A perfectly fine bag tea served at a restaurant this morning with a pot of tepid tap water. Boo. I’m going to volunteer to be this place’s tea sommelier.
