Such a delicious flavored black tea. As I said in my last tasting note for this, I like whatever SpecialTeas uses as a black base better than whatever Adagio uses (Ceylon, I think?). This tastes and smells like freeze-dried strawberries, with a sweet hint of cream. My sample’s all gone, so I might order more.
Okay, I want some! This might of been what I saw in stores. A blend of strawberries and cream. So tempting… must hold back on the spending.
Ugh, I know. I’ve been plotting big orders from 2 or 3 e-tailers; it’s so tough to choose which I will actually follow through on! Hopefully there’s some Christmas money in my future..
Haha, me too! All the discounts, it’s so tempting. I took a look at my credit card bill, uhoh. All gifts and tea this month. Rishi’s 25% off? Topical Co’s free teapot and 15% off? Harney & Sons free shipping? Lupicia’s spent $30 and get free samplers every month? Andrews & Dunham’s Series 2? The choices! Don’t tempt me further Steepster.
The first cup from my second order from SpecialTeas. This smells AMAZING, just like freeze-dried strawberries. The cream flavor comes out when steeped, but it’s not too rich or overwhelming. I like the base of this better than whatever is used for Adagio’s flavored blacks, too. A keeper.
Yeah, my tea selections are boring today. I am so eyeing up that Samovar deal. Unfortunately for some reason, my work computer hates Samovar’s website; I get errors the second it loads up. So gotta wait til I get home.
So far your teas for today perfectly suit the rainy weather were having here in Oklahoma. I think I am actually going to have to start the day off with a black tea as well to accommodate this rain. That Samovar deal seems too good to be true. Kinda hard to pass up.
I have a huge backlog of tea at work from when I was sick/have been so busy this week that I haven’t had time to drink tea at work, but I brought this in, anyway. Still love this stuff. Today looks a lot quieter so hopefully there’ll be some quality tea drinking time.
I didn’t wash out my mug so well from the Lapsang Souchong I had before this, so I was kind of hoping that some of that smokiness would come through in this.. it didn’t. But that’s okay, it’s still great by itself.
Bar none the best Earl Grey I’ve ever had. This has become one of my all-time favorite teas. It’s perfectly sweet and smooth and creamy. The vanilla doesn’t overpower the bergamot or vice versa. Just great. I really want to try SpecialTeas’ newest Earl Grey blend, which is getting rave reviews.
