Revolution Tea

Had a yummy cup of this when I got home from classes today. Accompanied by strawberries and a chocolate truffle! A lovely afternoon snack!

Brought this to work today. It is a really great tea for that. You can really abuse it and it still tastes good :) Today I accidentally ripped the bag so I had to throw out the bottom of my mug but it was still a nice little pick me up. Now I only have to decide what tea to have when I get home :)

I had this this morning before I was off to work with a balance bar. For some reason that pairing went nicely together. It was an excellent way to start off the day!

This was a much needed boost to start a very long day that is not yet over. It was also the first time I used my new mighty leaf to go mug. This tea was quite delicous! It smelled very inviting and fruity in the bag. I burned my tongue like three times trying to drink it too fast. It tasted very oolongy with a hint of fruity. A nice treat for the morning. The mug worked well too the outside stayed cool which was important in today’s ridiculous heat and it kept my tea hot all the way through my first class. Looking forward to another relaxing cup of tea to wind down tonight.

I got a sampler of revolution teas from amazon and I decided to try this one first last night. First off the packing is adorable. Each tea bag has it’s own tiny little box which probably isn’t very environmentally friendly, but it does really add to the cute factor of the tea.

This tea mostly smells of roobios in the bag and when steeped it smells like roobios and molasses. I didn’t find this tea terrible like everyone else who rated it seems to of. To me the roobios overpowered the honeybush, but it tasted pretty standard. My only complaint would be that I tasted molasses instead of caramel, but it certainly wasn’t a bad cup of tea.

Drinking this with just a splash of milk and a little sugar. It’s a lovely bergamotty, slightly floral and very smooth tea. I don’t actually drink this often but every time I do I wonder why not.

Even though I was drinking it old and stale, this is a lovely tea with strong notes of lavender. It’s good hot or iced (I’m drinking it iced today) and I feel, best sweetened.

I enjoyed this tea for breakfast today.

I’ve gotta say that this tea has a wonderful scent even if the flavour was a bit of letdown. When the name says ‘chocolate’ I want to taste chocolate in my tea damnit!

Now that I’ve upped the steeping time, the tea tastes more like it’s supposed to tastes (theoretically). I can taste the citrus, though it’s light, and the chocolate notes are there – if I look for them that is. I’d still rather the chocolate be a larger part of the flavour profile.

I look at the box and it says that the tea is orange chocolate-flavoured, but the smell and taste I’m getting from this tea is neither of those things to me. Instead it’s almost spicy with green, grassy notes. Actually I can pick up a little bit of citrus, but it’s not what I’d called readily distinguishable. And where the heck is the chocolate?! I want my chocolate fix dammit!

Maybe I need to work on the steeping parameters a bit, so my rating may be subject to change.

I was looking for alot more from this tea. I could not taste much carmel. I am glad this was a sample as I do not feel I would want to keep this one on hand.

I feel the stress of the day and it is only 7AM. Stress calls for me to try this tea. I purchased a sample box of 5 teas from Revolution yesterday and after getting them home and looking at them this morninging find them packaged very cute.
I am loving the mint smell of this tea. Going to go destress and drink my tea.

I discovered Revolution Tea at a restaurant in Uptown Minneapolis. Since then I have become a regular customer to their website (have an order in transit right now!). I love this Oolong. It’s mild and not too sweet. It is my very favorite iced tea. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find the pot sized canisters on the website for my last order, so I had to order the regular size. Oh, well. That way, if I just want a cup, I can have a cup!

This one is really exceptionally nice. I’d never found a tea that made Earl Grey as tasty in a green or white as in black before this one – found myself in a ridiculously overpriced café in Waterstone’s and had a cup of this. Then had to search for ages for somewhere to buy it here in Dublin! For me it’s a great green tea – not bitter at all – with just the right amount of bergamot – not overpowering but not anemic either.

I love this tea! it’s wonderful In fact my hubby loved it so much but he can’t stand all my other teas that i shared with him. though i like mine straight with no sugar my hubby enjoys it with a little bit of sugar in the raw in his tea. as long as i can find this tea it will be in my house

if you really like this tea if u can find an earl gray that is decaf. which i used Earl Grey Decaf Twinings open the bag and put a few lavender buds not the same but wow i still working on how to make it decaf so it’ can be my evening comfort tea nom nom

Meh…I’m just not loving it. Thought the first time was a one off and tried steeping for various times based on other people’s recommendations but I have to say the overwhelming flavour in this tea seems to be dust…with a faint trace of pear at the end. Definitely a disappointment

This was quite yummy with a splash of skim milk this morning. The lavender is less pungent but it gives the tea an intriguing herbal flavour to it. I could readily see this tea taking over as one of my default morning bagged tea.

This tea has been on my Shopping List for a long time and luckily TeaEqualsBliss sent me a couple sachets in our most recent tea trade.

It has a very nice smell – nicely tea-like with a hint of flowery-pungent lavender. It wasn’t so pungent as to be overpowering, nor was it that sweetly-fake smell you sometimes get in lavender-scented products – it was nicely balanced in between these two extremes.

The base is decent enough for a bagged tea – not tasting too harsh nor too dusty and tasteless. The bergamot was reasonaby mild-tasting and it made an interesting mix with the flavour of the lavender. They’re both plants that have a pungency to them so they make a good flavour pairing in my opinion.

The resteep (@ 5:30) unfortunately was pretty nasty – it tasted like watery tea crossed with that taste you get from undercooked pasta – ew! It went down the sink.

Bought this on a whim. One of my very favorite teas is Earl Grey and one of my favorite scents is lavender. I’m quite impressed with this tea and will definitely buy it again!

I looove chai, but generally choose to make a sort of pseudo-chai using just the spices, so as to refrain from consuming the caffeine. Feeling a bit woogy this morning I thought I’d give this chai a go- and it’s pretty mediocre. Just … vaguely chai spiced. (Not as good as the masala chai from SpecialTeas). I thought the cinnamon chips would stand out, but I don’t taste them at all.

Chai is, however, really great for soothing the tummy.
I accidentally oversteeped this one, and it still tastes a bit…pale… glad that the black tea didn’t turn bitter.

You know, the tea bag seemed a bit under-filled. I know a cup of tea always uses far less loose tea than I expect, but it still looked a bit sad. Revolution teas are always overpackaged, but they’d make good stocking stuffers or care-package add-ons. I’m gravitating towards tea bags as I am heading off to a scary language-intensive training program that involves living in a dorm. I am far too old for dorm living.

This brewed really dark for a white tea- as dark as a black tea, actually. Not promising. I’m also discovering that it really doesn’t taste like tangerines, or like much of anything. (I swear, my palette is fine this weekend!) I was kinda unimpressed by this tea in the bag too, as it looked a bit sawdusty. I do smell the tangerine in the form of a kind of bitter orange rind, but it just doesn’t come through in the flavor… or, if it does it’s doing too close of an impersonation of plain black tea for me to be that thrilled.

Well, my headache came back, and I was reading that mint tea can cure headaches (it’s even in the description on here). Don’t get me wrong, I popped an ibuprofen first, but I’m finding what is essentially a plain mint tea to be very calming right now. I don’t think there’s anything special about this at all- but sometimes that’s what I’m in the mood for. Mint tea, unlike my previous teas of the day, is a great antidote to the hot, humid weather. It cools my mouth and body, despite being hot.
