Okay, I have to admit, this Coconut Almond tea from Paromi is a very good flavored blend. The flavors are natural tasting; the scent is divine; the black tea base is fine. I do recommend.
Flavors: Coconut, Nuts
Preparation
I picked up a couple of jars of Paromi tea at Whole Foods. The matte-surfaced steel-gray-colored jars sure are sleek, but is that the explanation for the elevated price of these teas? I don’t usually complain about price, but $10 for 15 sachets seems a bit steep to me—especially if what I’m really paying for is the shipping cost of a heavy glass jar.
Fortunately, Coconut Almond also tastes very good. Of course, I love both coconut and almond, so I was off to a good start already, but the dark amber liquor (Assam is apparently the base tea) tastes better than just the usual hum-drum mediocre black dressed up in fancy flavors. This is a high-quality flavored tea featuring both natural essences and a worthy black tea base. Unfortunately, it does not seem possible to buy envelopes to refill this attractive jar….
Note to Paromi people: how about letting us but large envelopes so that we can refill these jars? That would definitely increase the probably of my purchasing this tea again.

Another of the samples the most generous ifjuly sent to me. Thank you so much.
This was odd for me. Yes coconut, yes almond, but there was something chai esque about it. Doesn’t say there are spices in it, but that’s the impression I got.
It was just ok for me. Not bad, not great – it was ok.
This is what I was remembering when I accidentally put part of this review on another tea!
I really enjoyed this sachet. Definitely coconut and definitely almond, neither fakey. I put a tiny dab of half and half into the last half of the cup and it made it just luscious. I also left the bag in the cup through the whole time and it never got bitter. Always a plus!
Thanks, ifjuly!

My last sachet (weep weep weep!). Excellent spices, comforting vanilla. I had it with just a squirt of honey, and it was the perfect drink to warm me up and help me wind down. This tisane will be missed!

Hi Jacqueline, don’t let it end. :) thanks a lot for trying and loving our cinnamon chai. Sorry it took so long to notice your posts. We’re trying to get better with social media. If you have any questions about tea or would like to try more of our offerings please reach out anytime to info@paromi.com. Happy tea drinking!
I’ve been brewing my rooibos tisanes a little longer since I’ve been adding a splash of milk to them – this one took to it beautifully! So…plush! The good spices and hint of vanilla combined for such a full tasting cup. Squirt of honey made it heavenly. I have a few tasty herbal chais in my cupboard, but this is hands down my fave.
Preparation
So good, as usual! You know the spices are vibrant if I in my cold-state can taste them! A touch of honey makes it even more soothing and delightful.
Preparation
Steeping this one for a little extra time in 8 oz of water per sachet produced the most heavenly rooibos chai I have ever had the pleasure of sipping! The cinnamon is rich and exquisite! All of the spices taste so fresh and alive. I also love that touch of vanilla. It was so good that I had to add more water and try for another steep. It was weaker, but eminently drinkable! Oh expensive tisane, why must you taunt me with your deliciousness!?
Preparation
I purchased this tisane at Whole Foods since I didn’t want to leave the store without SOMEthing for my cup! Swanky packaging – a big amber glass jar filled with silken sachets – suckered me right in ;)
I prepared it like the directions stated, although when I saw the amount of stuff in the sachet I knew that I personally would find it weak if I used 12-14 oz of water per sachet as recommended, so I used 2 sachets for 20 oz of water. When I make it again, I will only use 8 oz of water because it was still a tad weak – a tad weak but a really, truly delicious tad weak :)
Yup, this stuff is good! It tastes like you would think a fancy rooibos chai that comes in a big amber glass jar would, but also like they snuck in some of Tazo’s Vanilla Rooibos. I looked, and there is vanilla in this blend, which I don’t think is traditional in most chais, and that must be the difference…and you know how I love vanilla! The thing I most liked about this was how full flavored and vibrant the spices were. Sometimes companies use not the freshest spices and the tea tastes a bit flat and musty. Not this stuff. The spices are the star of the show. You should see the gorgeous red peppercorns!
My husband also slurped it down at an alarming rate and declared it delicious, so I think we have an evening tea time winner on our hands! :)
It’s expensive ($9.99 for 15 silken sachets – this makes it more expensive than even the Tazo which I complain about!!) but for an occasional treat, I can deal. Happily? Sadly? this company has quite a few delicious sounding flavors (Chocolate Orange! Coconut Almond!) so I wouldn’t be surprised if I became entranced by the amber jar once again on a Whole Foods run.

Whole Paycheck! ;) I figured I was there so I got some hair dye, face cream and soap and was shocked at my total – it sure does cost a lot of money to not poison yourself with chemicals!!!
My sister gave this to me for Christmas and I have to say, I’ve tried a lot of earl grey in my day, and I really really liked this. Make sure you stick to the brewing times – if you go over, the bitterness is not forgiving. I recommend 4 minutes. The 2nd brew IMO is the best. I love that I can get a 2nd use out of the same teabag. Not only is the packaging beautiful, but the tea itself is just as high quality. I find that the tea is a little overwhelming at the recommended steeping time. Otherwise, very good.
Preparation
Love this chai! It is delicious either hot or cold. I drink it after supper most nights. It is simply yummy and so aromatic with the spices. The spices seem to be perfectly blended to suit my tastes. I add only a wee bit of sweetner. There is no caffeine so its perfect for the evening without keeping me awake.
