Just opened this and a wondeful haze of fine matcha dust left the can as I did so! Started it off at 2 chashaku of matcha, 80ml Water, 75 Degrees C… Immediatly I could tell this was the highest quality matcha I have had to date, it sifted and whisked very easily. In terms of flavour it had a touch more bitterness than the Kiri-No-Mori, so next time I will knock the water temperature down a little (perhaps to about 65). Overall though very tasty!

This really is the last of this now! Still preferring it slightly to the organic Kaoru, but don’t think I have the parameters quite right for that one yet.

A nice balanced matcha, not overly sweet and no noticeable bitterness. Easy to prepare, doesn’t seem too sensitive to higher or lower water temps, I use between 70-80 degrees C – 80ml water – 2 chashaku of matcha. Would recommend!

This is the green tea I drink nearly every day. It’s fussy but when perfectly prepared has the grassy sweetness that is what I love about sencha.

I never get tired of this sencha. Second steep is still pretty good. Third steep is about as far as I’ll push it (175 degrees, 2 minutes)

Having a cup with my favorite breakfast: a scrambled egg on top of a bowl of rice. The tea is a gentle wake-up from a weird night.

Always in my tea cupboard. A great sencha for the price.

Burning midnight oil, pausing to prepare and consume a cup of sencha. A calming but energizing flavor, and preparation in a kyusu provides a refreshing break from the computer screen.

The tea itself is grassy with a slight astringency at the finish, a pleasant aroma, a green-gold liquor. Amazing quality for the price.

Trying this with a breakfast of haiga rice topped with an egg. I am finding this much more comforting and stimulating than black tea this morning. Maybe I should have this with breakfast every day instead of a black tea. But, I’m not sure how it would match up with my usual oatmeal breakfast.

This cup came out a bit on the creamy side, a cloudy liquor and pleasantly grassy. Enjoying it via little sips, while I think about the greater things in life.
