So I brought a tsp. of this in a little baggy to work with the goal in mind of stopping at Subway on my break and buying several bottles of their Vanilla Milk so I could drink this one at work in vanilla milk and then take some bottles home for later use. I’ve been dreaming about this one in vanilla milk. Mmm!

Sad news though: Apparently I have bought all of my local Subway’s vanilla milk and now they need to reorder/restock. So I guess I have to wait a while. So I settled, and I got a bottle of plain milk (because I didn’t see this one and chocolate milk going well), and I regret settling. This just felt so… flat. There was no “wow” factor, just sorta dull pear. Wah wah wah.

So now I know; if I’m gonna enjoy this one in milk it’s gotta be vanilla milk! Otherwise, we’re sticking to pear matcha soda; gotta love that sparkling pear soda.

Perfect way to start the afternoon morning!

I decided to cold shake some of this one into a bottle of “Milk 2 Go” vanilla milk; I’ve had good success with Pineapple Matcha in this way, and pear seemed like it could be a hit, and was just something I was craving in general.

It’s really, really good! I don’t know; the best way I can think to explain it is like a really thin vanilla/pear milkshake! It’s creamy and rich, with a juicy candy-like pear flavour. I’m honestly really in love. I’ve yet to have this one in plain milk – but based on this I think it’ll be really good. I honestly wasn’t sure if this would translate well into milk stuff because it’s fruit; but it’s creamy and fun, and totally does. I don’t know; I feel like it’s hard to explain but really good.

So delish.

So I’m gonna post clothing/underwear links now. If that’s a thing you don’t want to see you can stop reading now.

I drank it while wasting a few hours building carts online. Not tea carts, mind you, but T-Shirts on Redbubble and sexy underwear/bras on Forever Yours. But damn, why does clothing have to cost so much!? Especially bras, man. Like, this pretty moulded nude bra is $70. I don’t want to shell out that kind of money for boob support! But, I definitely need to replace the bras I have…

And paired with this…

https://foreveryourslingerie.ca/product/?cName=&pName=Hanky_Panky_Retro_Thong&categoryId=&productId=934

So cute!

And then, in another browser I’m off looking at stuff like this:

I don’t need more shirts, but man do I want ’em. Ugh. Clothing is hard.

Cheri

That is a pretty bra. I hate that bras are expensive. Good bras are way too expensive, but oh so necessary.

Sil

haha for serious!

Since most of the matcha I received in my order are flavours I already have small, opened sample amounts of I decided this one – which I’ve never tried, would be the perfect one to open first and try today! Let me just start by saying that is smells amazing! It’s fragrant and sweet and so juicy! Albeit, admittedly, not the most natural smelling, but as long as it doesn’t taste “chemically artificial” that wont matter to me.

Specs for this one are:
- Basic Grade matcha
- Distinctive Flavouring

Since I bought it with the intention of using it mostly in club soda I figured that would be the best way to try it first – although I’m hoping it’s good in milk too. So, I added about a tsp. of matcha powder, a few lumps of the rock sugar generously given to me by 221tea, and about an ounce of hot water and whisked away like a mad woman. After that, I just dumped in a can of club soda and I was ready to go!

This smells fresh and and sweet, and juicy – and maybe a tiny bit floral? Taste wise: this is damn good! I love that it’s really juicy and sweet like pear juice and that even if it doesn’t taste really natural it doesn’t taste really fake or chemical either. It reminds me of a pear flavoured sparkling water or spritzer. I also feel like I’m getting Fuji Apple notes in here too.

I’m very happy with my purchase and with the flavour level I settled on: I think delicate would have been too soft a touch for my liking (although maybe more natural) and robust would definitely have pushed to the point of chemical – which I think is the case with more of Red Leaf Tea’s fruit flavours at that level.

I almost want to go make another RIGHT NOW – the only thing holding me back is the fact I’m down to two more cans of club soda…

This was the free Matcha sample this month from Red Leaf tea. I was really looking forward to trying this but I guess I am a little “meh” about this one. I mixed it in with some soymilk this morning to have a matcha latte. There is definitely a chocolate flavor but it seems totally obscured by the matcha flavor. It’s like drinking liquid grass with a chocolate flavor. I’ve had several of Red Leaf’s other flavored matchas and I liked them a lot better. I don’t think I would buy this one, but if I did I would definitely get the mild matcha option at the checkout.

Finally tried this cold steeped overnight in milk, which was slightly better. I still strongly prefer the plain caramel matcha over this one, but overall neither one are my favorites. Both are drinkable but there are MUCH better flavors from Red Leaf! :)

Thank you Courtney for letting me sample this flavor!

Hmm, I’m not sure about this one. I should have tried it with just milk first, but I combined it with a frozen banana. I’ll have to try it plain next time. There is something artificial tasting to me going on here, but based on all the other reviews maybe I am mistaken…I’ll try it plain soon! As of right now I prefer the regular caramel.

boychik

I really liked coconut you send me;)

Stephanie

That one is my favorite boychik!

This. I do not like this. It isn’t so much nutty almond as it is overly sweet marzipan. I am just not a fan. However I am super grateful to Naylynn for the chance to try this.

VariaTEA

It’s okay. If I liked them all, I would be broke so it is nice to find a few that are definitely not reorders.

Stephanie

Hmm, I’ve been debating about trying this flavor. Now I’m not sure…

VariaTEA

If you like marzipan, you may enjoy it. However, I was hoping for a flavor more reminiscent of the nut

Ahhhh…to whom do I owe a debt of grattitude?
I cannot remember….
1 scoop Coconut Matcha + 1 scoop White Chocolate Matcha= Pure Heaven
I only THOUGHT I loved the coconut before.
Adding the white chocolate to the coconut (especially in whole milk…hehehe)
Makes this an unbelievably creamy coconut drink.
Thank you for this recipe dear one :-)
I haven’t tried the white chocolate on its own yet,
& I may not for awhile…I have dreams of mixing it in a blender with some fruit.
If you like the coconut…do yourself a flavor and try it like this ;-)

Somehow I expected this to “look” chocolate…it does not.
However, it does have a magical chocolatey flavor…
I got distinctive this time and sooooo worth it.
I am drinking this as a cold latte in vanilla Silk(soy milk)
Lucious chocolate latte.
I am on a huge Matcha splurge…drinking this for my health
and soooo making a commitment.
Thanks Robert at Red Leaf Tea for getting my order together so nicely.
Also, thanks for the exceptional customer care given to myself and my friend Zelia.
I will be doing a bit of advertising for ya with friends ;-)
Thanks again to Miss B & Just James for the hook up …
love you both

First of all, why are there only two tasting notes besides mine on this tea?! Isn’t this the one that everyone was raving about last year? this and the caramel one???
Or is it just me that can only see two notes?
Heck I can’t even see my own and I know I wrote one because I ranted about how it was a bit too floral and not chocolatey enough for my tastes.
Bah.
Anyhow, I mixed this into a smoothie today with banana, avocado, kiwi, milk, ice, and a few splashes of OJ. Oh my goodness this is so good. A little zingy, a LOT creamy, topped off with a terry’s chocolate orange finish. Oh and a little sugar, since the “creamy” was a little overpowering. Not ideal but what can ya do. Anyhow, I ended up with a cup of…. well, YUM does not cover the bases here folks. Seriously.

Sil

..because it’s BELGIUM chocolate matcha :) Not belgian

Suziqzer

Lol.. Oops :)

Indigobloom

But… Belgian is more grammatically correct LOL
Ah well. Oops indeed!!

Suziqzer

I could see myself doing the same thing if I wasn’t looking at the package!

Indigobloom

That is exactly what I did. Belgium is the country. So it’s like saying France Chocolate… (not French!) Sighs.

I had this one yesterday afternoon but I didn’t have a chance to review it. This one is has less of a flavor in comparison to the others I have tried (Caramel, Caramel Popcorn). This one tastes creamy and vanilla, it reminds me a bit of the vanilla protein powder I have but with a green tea bitterness. I had to add a little sugar to help flavor this one. Very tasty but not my favorite of theirs (because the rest are AMAZING.)

Had this again with different soy milk, still no dice. The mint is overpoweringly minty to me & I got zero chocolate taste. Not even the weird chemically chocolate taste I got with the Belgium Chocolate matcha. This also had a cloying sweetness to it that didn’t balance well with the mint for me.

Reserving rating so far as I’ve only had this once & it was with the evil soy milk that I don’t like. I’ve almost finished off that carton, so once it’s gone I’ll retry this with different soy. It was over-the-top minty and chalky tasting, but I’m blaming that on the milk because it did the same thing to my last cup of cheesecake matcha.

This is distinctive flavor and I’m really not sure I got peanut butter out of it. I had this as my usual iced latte. I didn’t blend it as well as I normally do, so some of that might have been my fault, but even at the end where I could see more of the matcha than I normally do, it still didn’t have a very strong peanut flavor. Ah well. It was sweet and creamy and just a touch peanut buttery.

Wow. This is amazing! It seriously tastes like I’m drinking hot chocolate right now, with a little hint of matcha. I wasn’t expecting this to taste so, chocolate-y, but it really really does! Yum. I love how this isn’t extremely sweet on its own, and incredibly creamy. Kind of odd, but I’m almost getting a floral taste at the end. A little off-putting, but nothing too noticeable. I don’t think that I would buy this in large quantities for myself, but it is a fun flavor to try out!

I ordered a sample of this…I guess it was last month, and I don’t think I reviewed it yet. I’ve made it as an iced latte and a hot latte, and honestly, I’m not getting much flavor…maybe a little nuttiness. I really seem to have a hard time discerning the flavor from these matchas. I guess I need to order them at the robust flavor level.

Thank you so much Courtney for sharing some of your precious Bavarian Cream with me!

This is one of my favorite matcha flavors now. Really good and creamy and vanilla-y :D

It has been a really long time since I actually ate anything filled with Bavarian cream, but it seems pretty spot-on flavor wise!

Courtney

I’m so glad you enjoyed it!

Megan

I just ordered this one! Now I’m really excited to try it.

this is awesome. i snagged this with the redleaf 5 for 7 deal.

with summer compressed classes i start my day with a smoothie…. this morning i broke into this bag of matcha. it was great! frozen fruit, aloe juice (unsweetened), scoop of greens powder, 1/4 of a cucumber, coffee cream (instead of yogurt), scoop of this (or other red leaf matcha). i’m good for the day!

9 hours of classes, hitting the gym bulkier with muscle but leaner in the gut- happy day!

if you want a real brain breaker do this but chuck in half an avocado. so awesome! redleaf- i’m a huge fan, and i really don’t see that changing =0) (you’re very, very good with or without the smoothie).

Trying this with O.N.E. Coconut Water with a splash of pineapple(COLD)
I much prefer with milk…I adedd a packet of stevia…
what can I do to make the water version more appealing?
I am wanting to go on a diet…help?

Stephanie

Maybe try the 40 calorie per cup almond milk? It is creamier than coconut water

mj

Can you get LaCroix sparkling water where you are? Their coconut sparkling water is really good! They have other flavors as well. It’s all naturally flavored with 0 calories. I tried it with some matcha and liked it a lot.

Marzipan

second Stephanie’s suggestion – I believe it’s Almond Breeze that has the fewest calories.

CelebriTEA

I am going to check on the LaCroix Sparkling water and the Almond Breeze…question about the Almond Breeze…is it sickening sweet like Soy Milk?

CelebriTEA

Thanks so much for the suggestions

Stephanie

Make sure you get the unsweetened vanilla almond milk! :D

CelebriTEA

Thanks Stephanie
