Lupicia

This is a 1min brew tea, and brewing over that really makes it bitter. Whoops. It is good brewed at specs, a bit smokey and mellow. I had a sample so I used it.

Great tea. Mellow but tastes strongly of melon. It is really really weird. I’d buy it though, I like weird teas.

Freebie teabag from Lupicia. This is fruity. Like FruitStripes gum (what I remember of it) fruity. I can’t really pull out any individual fruit tastes – it’s just one big flavor of sweet, almost candy-like fruity. It doesn’t taste synthetic or anything, so points for that. But there’s an astringency from the green tea base that I just don’t love. Maybe that dryness would work better with the sweet fruit flavor if chilled, come across as a crisp & refreshing type taste, but hot it just doesn’t mesh great for me.

Ultimately, this is drinkable and not horrid but it’s not something I’d pick up for myself. If they had this flavor with a black tea base… now that I’d probably give a try.

I agree with aug3zimm – this tea is very cantaloupe-y and juicy, and yes, pleasantly weird! :) I think I would like this better as an iced tea, rather than a hot tea, but it’s still very tasty and not too syrupy-sweet.

Smells very juicy – like a super-ripe cantaloupe, or maybe a honeydew, dipped in oolong. And it tastes just like it smells – like cantaloupe coated in an oolong jelly (if such a thing existed). Pleasantly weird. And very summery.

This is an excellent flavoured tea if you like the taste of canteloupe or honeydew.

Very intense, almost candy-like musk melon scent. The flavor is a little more subtle.

Very distinct but not overpowering lychee taste. One of my favorite oolongs.

Delicious (especially with milk) and it smells fantastic when brewed.

It was okay, but only after I added a good amount of milk. The flavor is very strong and bitter otherwise.

Nice sweet smell and taste. It is surprisingly kinda milky.

This was my freebie tea from Lupicia today. It’s quite yummy, but of course I just adore genmaicha in general.

Oh this tea is definitely my favorite from Lupicia! The Paradise Black is from Lupicia is delicious too, but I prefer green teas in general.

This oolong is a little earthy. It’s nothing like as richly earthy as wuyi shui xian, but it still brews up a little darker than your average oolong, and the earthiness is there in both the smell of the dry leaves and the taste of the tea. I was in the mood for this sort of taste tonight, and this tea delivers without hitting you over the head with the flavour.

Just a nice, easy-drinking Chinese oolong. Dark gold brew with a slightly malty taste.

I wanted something with that was just a “bit” sweet and this lychee oolong was the first thing that caught my eye in my tea cupboard.

Wanted something a little flavored but not too flavored. <3
