Cuppa'T Specialty Teas

I tried this cold brewed this time. It does improve the taste slightly. However, it still tastes very artificial. Oh well!

Aroma: very intriguing and yummy
This is way too sweet for me. The nougat pieces have too much of a fake taste that leaves a really weird aftertaste.
2nd steep: still just as fake sweet with the weird aftertaste.

I am not really a fan of senchas but this one smells really good.
I found it a little too woodsy and vegetative.
I didn’t get much strawberry flavour.
2nd steep: same flavour, just weaker

I am glad to have this back in my cupboard. It is so unique and different!

I am still unsure how to describe the taste though. I have never had sea buckthorn. It is bitter and sweet at the same time if that makes sense. It reminds me a little bit of chokecherry or Saskatoon berries maybe. It has a nice creamy aftertaste.

This is a pretty good rooibos. I have no idea what buckthorn is supposed to taste like though.
The taste was slightly bitter but also slightly sweet, with a nice creamy feel.
I like it because it is so different from all my other teas and it is nice after a heavy meal day.

This is a good rooibos that doesn’t need sweetener or milk.
The taste is smooth, apple, kinda buttery, with a tad of nutty taste. Kind of strange but good.

Yummy and sweet, the almond flavours really come through in this tea without the nutty bitterness.

Sipdown for now. This is on my permanent restock list so it won’t be out of my cupboard for long. I love this tea.

I am happy to have this back in my cupboard, it has a permanent spot there!
On Sundays I like to make lattes. I am not sure if I have had this one as a latte before or not, so I went for it today. It was kind of like a London Fog but not quite because this earl has a caramel note in it. And I don’t have vanilla syrup. Anyway, I added a tiny smudge of brown sugar just for the heck of it. This was delicious.

Delicious this morning. Just what I needed to kick start my day.
The caramel is stronger today than usual. Which is delectable!

I re-stocked this tea before I even took it out of my “cupboard”! I guess I forgot when I sipped down my last bit awhile ago. Oh well, I will likely always have this in my cupboard anyway.
It tastes a little less caramel than usual today for some reason. But still so comforting on a cold winters day.

Backlogging
This is one of my favs and definitely a cupboard staple.
I think I have to increase the rating because I just love the subtle earl grey with the sweetness of the caramel.

Just what I needed this morning to kick start my day! I needed something creamy and smooth. And delicious as usual

So delicious and creamy (of course!). I was really suprised at how creamy this tea was! The best earl grey out there for sure!
It smells delicious as well. Smelling those jars is so much fun!

Sipdown
I mixed my last cup of this with some “strawberry cream” from zen tea and it was delicious.

Mmm, I wanted chocolate for breakfast this morning but I don’t have any chocolate in the house……lol and I shouldn’t actually have chocolate in the morning anyway. This tea did the trick!

Mmm so glad to have this one back in my cupboard. I actually re-stocked my tin of this in November but for some reason, I am only getting around to drinking it now. I guess I forgot about it :(. It is sweet (but not too sweet) and creamy. It is a darker chocolate, which I really enjoy.

Oh yum, I finally restocked this and I’m so glad that I did. I made this as a weekend latte treat and it was delicious, creamy, and chocolate.

I finished this one off last night. So delicious and chocolate with just that tiny tad of macademia nuttiness. Even though I try not to have additions in tea, a tiny splash of milk in this tea enhances the flavour like crazy! This has been my weekend treat!

On the weekends, I allow myself a good chocolate tea either with a splash of milk or as a latte. Some of my favs are this one, fireside s’mores (teaopia), or read my lips (David’s).
