Bellocq Tea Atelier

i still dunno how i feel about this tea. It’s not bad, but it’s not ZOMG YES! it’s just kinda there…which is likely why i’ve struggled to drink it down. I may need to try this out gonfu style to see what else i can make of it.

same with this one..i tried this today and enjoyed it…it’s not knock your socks off omg wowsers, but it was a good solid cup. All that being said, reserving rating for a proper note that isn’t happening 12= hrs after i drank it haha

Pulled this one out today to finish it off…the last little bit is off to Evol Ving Ness ,,next weekend! holy that’s soon… After drinking this hear and there i’m still undecided about this one. It’s a neat looking tea – but i think the excitement ends there. it’s not a bad cup of tea..but it’s not worth the price imo.

thoroughly enjoyable cup yesterday. Now to stalk Bellocq for some sales so that i can restock on my favourites someday. Still have a number of teas from this company to get through first though :)

oh man… this at a long steeps is fantastic. malty and downright delicious.

longer steep on this one worked even better for it – 6.5mins. :) a very tasty treat for earlier this afternoon.

I opened this one today – my present for getting my cupboard weight down more than anticipated in March. Let me tell you the dry leaf on this one is amaaazeballs. I made my other half smell this one and he immediately said chocolate., instead of saying “dirt” like he always does. I wish the brewed version of the tea was as chocolatey as the dry leaf – instead it turns into a VERY pleasant more typical yunnan golden bud. That’s not to say it was delicious and thoroughly enjoyable, just lacking the intensity of the chocolate aroma of the dry leaf. :)

Another tea i’m finishing up this morning. REALLY sad to see this one go – especially as i didn’t get a chance to compare it against teavivre’s keemun. If i ever have an opportunity, i’ll be picking up more of this one.

really going to miss this one when it’s gone. only 1 more cup’s worth left :(

Almost through this one, especially if i set aside a little for Terri and Dexter…and that’s a sad thing. I really enjoy this one from Bellocq – though in fairness, i didn’t try it against my other favourite from teavivre, so there’s a chance the other is just as good.

bumping the rating up on this one a little as i think it’s one of my favourites from bellocq. I can’t be bothered remembering prices at the moment, but i think? it’s worth the price if memory serves. Had this earlier in the week as it’s been insane at work these days and i needed a great kick off to the morning. I think work might start slowing down by like december? ugh.

having a bit of a slow day today until my other half gets back from digging in the woods. I figure it was a good morning to just take some time and drink a few cups of this one. Really love it..just wish it wasn’t so expensive. On that note….really super curious about the laoshan black tea yunnan sourcing is now carrying….hoping someone gives it a shot or i can find a sale soon to pick some up.
