Hmm, I wonder if egg nog in lieu of milk/cream & sugar would work…
Verdict: It’s rather good. I also added about 1/2 oz of rum ;-)
Preparation
I’ve used a spoonful of vanilla ice cream in tea before too — same basic concept as sugar+ cream, right? The hint of spices, and the warmth of rum made this a nice evening drink. Not enough to overpower the tea, just compliment it.
Mmm… This tea is lovely. So smooth and rich. It’s savory and sweet and slightly floral. This is not your typical white tea. And the leaves are lovely as well. After steeping they look freshly plucked. So green! They tea itself is a yellow that matches my teacup. Perfect for a sunny weekend morning.
The Damn Fine Holiday Blend seemed like the perfect drink for the holiday today, even if I am at work and not really celebrating Thanksgiving today. I really do love this tea. I don’t think I’ve ever brewed a bad pot of it. I’m going to miss it when its gone. You know that tea that you like so much you hesitate to drink it because once it is gone, it is gone? Yeah, that’s this tea. I’m going to have a very serious sad when it is gone. I’m now, however, a total A&D convert. I want all their teas I can get my hands on, as past performance indicates future performance, right?
The tea is smooth, not astringent at all, with body, but not too chewy-thick. It tastes like what tea should taste like, a lovely melange of tea flavors that come together to make one perfect tea.
Damn Fine Holiday blend, how do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
I love thee in the morning, when I’m trying to wake up.
I love thee in the afternoon, when I’m trying to stay awake.
I love thee in the evening, even though you keep me up.
Perfect, as always. I’m very glad I’m aesthetically driven and loved the packaging, since I got a fanfreakingtastic tea out of my packaging-driven impulse buy. I surely will miss this when it is gone. But until that time, I’m going to enjoy every cup.
Preparation
Took this to work today in my Libre mug. I’ve been taking food to work with me everyday. I ran out of meal stubs. :) This particular Earl Grey is so light and delicious. It goes down very smooth. The flavors aren’t in your face as other Earl Grey teas that I’ve tried.
Good tea!
I drank Earl Grey this morning. It was cool out and this called for it! :) I wanted to try the Lavender Honey my mother gave me. WOW delicious! This tea didn’t need honey at all since it didn’t get bitter, and it was a nice mild, rounded taste. But the added honey was delicious! It added a slight lavender taste to the earl grey!
