Straightforward lemon green tea. As if you added some squeezed lemon to a cheap green tea.

Nothing special but nothing horrible about it either.

Steeped for 5:45, I was busy in the background but pulled the bag out as soon as I realized how long it had been.

This was a light, gold, aromatic tea which is exactly what you would expect from a nice, inexpensive Darjeeling tea. It has delicate black tea notes with a nice tannin and astringency that coats the tongue. It was bitter but with no initial bite, probably caused by my oversteeping.

The mouthfeel offers some sweetness, and a near apricot fruity note. Really pleasant and especially for the price.

I have heard to only steep this tea for a few minutes instead of a handful, I look forward to trying it on a lower steep time but even now at first cup it is a solid and delicious unique tea.

Steeped for 4 minutes, taste tested but then threw the bag in to continue infusing.

I can see how some reviewers picked up Pine Sol, it’s a light note and not off-putting to me but more comforting.

This is a light black tea, the flavor is not overpowering like a lemon-lime soda but more citrus notes that fade in and fade out. The aroma is all citrus on the nose, as would be expected.

Overall, I was underwhelmed. Maybe it was this go-round but there wasn’t a lot of tea flavor to this one and it got all muddled into the citrus notes anyway. Opposite of Earl Grey which has predominant black tea notes with the citrusy bergamot. I felt a little lost drinking this, but it was a pleasant enough tea none the less. Great addition to the biscuits I dunked in, which made them more of a lemon cookie.

Surprised myself with this one, I’m more of a traditional tea guy. Dark, smoky, even bitter.

I purchased this as part of a sampler box to expand my horizons. It was very economical, and I was already ordering some nice loose leaf.

The aroma is strawberry hard candy or lollipop, all the way. This steeps while releasing the flavor and introducing you to the blend with aromatic flair.

What I was worried about with this flooding of smell, is that the black tea would be washed out. After all, this is a black tea with strawberry, not the other way around.

What you end up with is a lovely afternoon black tea with strawberry nose, some berry juice notes in the body, and a malty black tea finish with just a kiss of strawberry skin added in.

I feel it is well balanced and very good considering how inexpensive it was. My recommendation is to add fresh strawberries to the pot while infusing, if you have the luxury to do so.

Looking forward to trying this tea iced with strawberries and a touch of sugar.

Ahmad Tea teas sometimes are pretty good. At least for tea bags and price range :)

Certainly Martin! It’s not the most special blend I’ve ever had but better than I thought it would be.

Received this in my SipsBy box this month (my last four a bit). I’ve never tried Ahmad Tea before, so I was excited to try a new-to-me brand. As expected, the teabags are filled with fannings. There’s no distinct aroma coming from the dry leaf. I added a bit of honey, and this was pretty tasty, but not extraordinary. I can actually taste both the peach and passionfruit, and they don’t taste too artificial.

The smell of this while it steeps is pure magic! Just the most delectable and heavenly aroma. Unfortunately, the magic ends there. It’s not that it tastes bad, it just doesn’t taste as good as it smells. The strawberry flavour is nice but that’s all I get, just strawberries overtop of a strong bitterness. It would have been a lot better if the bitterness wasn’t present. It distracts from the lovely, juicy strawberry flavour. Where’s the cake? There’s nothing cake-like about this at all to my taste buds. It’s not terrible but it’s nothing special either. Just sub-par. I’ll finish the box but I won’t re-purchase.

You can definitely taste a nice balance between the citrus and mint flavours. Neither overpowers the other. Love that it’s a green tea. Hard to beat at this price point. Bought at Winners/Homesense for a song! A tad bitter at the end but not enough to complain about. Overall, I like it!

I certainly paid enough to get this online, since I can’t find it anywhere near me. Not even in Netcost which has a full range of Ahmad teas.

It smells faintly of pear, with another odd, almost musty scent that’s not cinnamon. It’s not like it stinks, but on the other hand it isn’t particularly nice. Flavor-wise it’s mostly pear, a little bit of cinnamon, and some sort of funky undertone that I don’t quite care for. It might be the base tea itself, I don’t know. When the tea’s warm it’s not so bad, but when it cools that taste becomes a lot more noticeable.

Definitely overpriced for what it is at $7 a box for 15 sachets, and doesn’t live up to all the glowing reviews I’ve seen for it. I’ll finish what I have, but I won’t seek it out again.

Being much more careful with this one not to oversteep. This smells a bit like Pine-Sol, that disinfectant lemon flavor. I don’t love the flavor, but it’s not awful. More lime I think than lemon.

drank Peach & Passion Fruit by Ahmad Tea

Oh wow, I absolutely steeped this one way too long. Distracted at work as usual. It’s so bitter. A little cream helped but wow is it astringent. My fault completely though. I’m not very familiar with passion fruit, but the peach is there. It’s not exactly fresh, ripe peach; more artificial.

Dumping this cup due to user error. I’ll try again.

“Distracted at work” tea is the worst tea. #TeaFact

drank Apple Refresh by Ahmad Tea

I oversteeped this so it came out bitter, but the apple flavor is pronounced and unique. It doesn’t taste like apples, more like green apple candy. I don’t really like the flavor.

Although I enjoyed it, I was hoping the passion fruit flavor would be more present. Peach and black tea flavors were there, though.
