To be fair to this tea, I am not going to rate it until I have another cup since I always believe that the first impressions may not be the correct impressions of something. I have come to love many books that started off horrible and I pushed through to the end. Tea is like this for me, I form my view on the second and sometimes the third cup.
I do love the smell of this tea dried and brewed. It has a dark chocolate aroma dried that accentuated with a toffee aroma when brewed. I found it interesting that the leaf sunk to the bottom of my infuser as it steeped where other teas float with some settling on the bottom. The colour of the tea is impressive as it reminds of chocolate toffee with that think dark chocolate look. I did not find this tea sweet, but rather bitter with burnt undertones, and a hint of dark chocolate and toffee.
