I bought this through one of my purchases online, it was recommended to me at the store during a recent visit and at the time never gave it much thought. It arrived the other day and I carefully tucked it away in my cupboard until I was ready to try it.
After a rather busy morning of running around, I came home and without really thinking pulled this out of the cupboard and prepared my cup of tea to enjoy with some much needed feet up time and Pretty Little Liars with my oldest.
Dry the leaves remind me of a burnt earthy aroma, not really my sort of thing (dirt really turns me off and the smell of burnt items sorta makes me ill). It brews a muted redish brown colour that when held up to the light is rather pretty. The steeped aroma reminds me of toasted nuts and again the earthy grass smell. Taste wise, it was smooth with a bit of bitterness and an odd feeling of dry mouth. Near the end of my cup I started picking up on a few hints of caramel.
I will try this tea again, allowing it steep a little longer than I normally like. I may even figure out how to make tea latte as the website suggests.
