2876 Tasting Notes
Advent from AJRimmer day #8!
I don’t mind teabags at all, since I find them handy for travelling to and from work. I enjoyed the citrus in this, however IMO a good mojito uses spearmint or English mint and never peppermint. Peppermint like in this blend is more menthol-heavy and lacks sweetness. The lemon mint (or lemon grass?) is a great addition to add some additional flavour notes. I can taste some generic citrus, however I don’t taste anything distinctly lime. It is a pretty good blend, although it might as well be herbal since there is no green tea flavour coming through. I’ve had better mojito teas before.
Flavors: Citrusy, Herbs, Lemongrass, Menthol, Mint, Peppermint, Pleasantly Sour
Preparation
This is my chosen replacement for DT’s spearmint. It does come in paper teabags, however it was the cheapest option on amazon that wasn’t a 2 kg bag.
This is a nice, simple, sweet spearmint. Exactly what I needed.
Flavors: Mint, Spearmint, Sweet
Preparation
Silly me forgot to bring any tea with her to work. I found this in the coffee cupboard. I’m not sure how old it is, but it smelled sweet and spicey.
The main note is cinnamon. I find DT cinnamon is too sickly sweet. It does not have any flavour from the cardamom, unfortunately. No green tea is visible in the looseleaf or the brew itself.
Flavors: Cinnamon, Spices, Sweet

Spoiler alert for those who don’t want to know anything about the 52Teas included in Amoda’s caffeine free box!
What a delightful blend! I still have not tried all the flavours but I do love this one a lot. It has some great rooibos and honeybush notes, lots of warm winter spices, and some wonderful dried apple notes (sweet, dried fruit, apple). Totally delicious and a great cup on yet another rainy day (three in a row now!)
Flavors: Apple, Cinnamon, Honey, Maple, Rooibos, Spices
Preparation
I had such high hopes for this one :( Normally I find 52Tea really nails their genmaicha flavours, but this one had no eggnog (or nutmeg) or marshmallow. It tasted like any plain genmaicha. Granted, the green was smoother than most green bases, but even smelling the looseleaf bag I can’t smell anything different. Hopefully I got a weird bag and other people get a flavour packed one. No eggnog, nutmeg, creamy, dessert, or marshmallow notes at all in mine.
Flavors: Rice, Smooth, Toasted Rice
Preparation
My caffeine free Amoda order arrived! So spoilers ahead, please skip if you have not received yours yet
This seemed like the most promising out of the batch of four that I received. It is hard to go wrong with maple or nuts. There certainly was a great deal or maple and some nutty notes, especially because of the rooibos. I actually thought this tasted more like a honeybush because of the nuttiness. I taste a lot of cinnamon, and as I drank the cup I kept thinking of oats. I wouldn’t call this cookie flavour at all, but I do love oats in my baked goods. I had a cardamom pod in my cup but couldn’t taste it. I had my first cup plain, but I can’t wait to enjoy this with milk. I only wish I could have more cookie so it would taste like cookies in milk.
Flavors: Cinnamon, Honey, Maple, Molasses, Nuts, Nutty, Oats, Spices, Sweet
