82 Tasting Notes
I’m not sure what this tea smells like before & after brewing but it isn’t pina coloda. Something that’s probably pineapple comes out after the tea has been swallowed but that’s the only flavor I get out of this tea. It’s rather harsh. I’m not sure there’s any helping this one.
Every time I brew this up it’s like I’m drinking a different tea. Sometimes I like the flavor and sometimes not so much. Right now is a ‘not so much’ pot. So I’m not really sure what to say about this tea. It’s like it has a split personality & I never know if I’m going to get the good twin or the not so good twin.
I don’t like rooiboos and I really don’t like chocolate but I like this. The chocolate flavor is sort of an afterthought and it’s really the mint that takes center stage. But it’s also not overpowering. It, too, is rather subtle and somehow that seems to work for this infusion (it’s not a tea). It did need a little sweetener & milk. I got this as a free sample with an order and it worked. I would definitely buy this.
This tea doesn’t smell like much of anything before brewing. I’m not sure it actually gains much after. Once in a while I will catch a whiff of something that says ‘tea’. But somehow it doesn’t taste too bad. It’s a fairly light, mellow tea sometimes with a little something at the back of the throat.
No, I don’t usually drink green tea but someone brought some into work & it’s vanilla! And ginger. And chai. So what the heck, right? It definitely doesn’t look like a green tea. It brews up a dark brown color. It smells sort of sugar cookie-ish. Sort of has the flavor of one, too. It’s not horrible but probably something I wouldn’t buy.
Before steeping this tea has almost a chocolate aroma. After brewing it definitely has a smooth chocolaty smell & taste. I’m not really getting anything of pumpkin or spice. I added a little Sugar in the Raw and that seemed to help it some. I don’t have any milk at the moment but I think that would help it even more.
