259 Tasting Notes
An incredible spiced smell with deep chocolate notes. The Rooibos element takes a back seat in the flavour, letting the spices take control to envelop you in their warming magic. A credible chai alternative for those wanting to stay caffeine free. Easily enjoyed with or without milk and sugar.

What I love about Phrooti is the sheer diversity of the products! Whilst I personally didn’t love this as a hot fruit drink, I did really enjoy it cold and I also loved the flexibility in its use. I take plain porridge with a banana and no added sweeteners like sugar or honey. As you may imagine, this can get a bit boring, but Phrooti provided an additional fruity note and a ton of sweetness that I don’t normally have! I’m a major sweet tooth, so I was super happy with it. Amazingly, Phrooti doesn’t just come in one flavour, there’s also “Sour Cherries & Cranberries” and “Blackcurrants, Blackberries & Blueberries”. YUM!

Aroma: A wondrous scent of tootti fruitti sherbert.
Flavour: A fruitful, relaxing liquor that floats through the senses, relieving you of your present circumstances and whisking you off into eastern Spain. You can detect this sun scented florals, taste the sour syrupiness of its provincial growing fruits, feel the hazy restfulness that passes over to a tickling pirouette of sweet, melodic flavours. This is Valencia and the blend is every bit its essence.
Final Thoughts: I found it hard not to fall in love with this blend, that seems to fizz in the mouth, hosting floral notes that give way to fruity flavours, with vibrant colours and a succulent smell. A true taste of Spanish summer.

Aroma: A strange concoction that is a predominantly foreign floral, followed by delicate hints of pine and mint.
Flavour: If your impression of Barcelona is a city full of zing, and thus expect the tea to match the lifestyle, then your first taste of No.553 may hold disappointment. However, if you’ve ever visited Barcelona in summer you will know that whilst the city buzzes with enthusiasm, people spend most the day lounging under umbrellas at bars, sat in quiet contemplation out of the sun. Despite being busy it’s also serene and has a calming disposition, aided by light, warm, sweet scented breezes. No.553 recreates this tranquillity almost perfectly, with warm, hazy notes of muted fruits, floral hays, chamomile and a mild cooling pine and mint finish.
Final Thoughts: It’s easy to see this is an inventive blend, that captures the same relaxing essence of the city in tea form, making it perfect for those who want something light and relaxing.

Aroma: Bold, somehow creates a bubble-gum waft as the bag of tea is opened. When steeped, jasmine becomes a forceful central scent, hiding just the slightest hint of mint.
Flavour: This tea has everythingggggg. Somehow the combination of ingredients creates a palate that’s floral, herby, mentholating, fruity and grassy, all at once. It shouldn’t work… And yet, somehow, it does.
Final Thoughts: If you love mint and jasmine, Madame Li will be a blend that provides an enjoyable experience that, initially, doesn’t disappoint. It’s different, in an almost exotic way, drawing excitement and intrigue that causes your glands to gush and slaver.

Aroma: A sweet, musty perfume with a prominent fig and slight apple aroma. Think spring orchards with a middle-eastern twist.
Flavour: Inconsistent. This blend provides two adventures with the changing flavours. The first, whisks your taste buds to the relaxing heat of the middle-east, experienced through strong fig over notes with a fruity and slightly caramelised undertone. While this cup has a slightly green hue, the second cup, creates a deep pink liquid. The flavour profile reflects this change in colour by containing a Turkish feel of sweeter, softer musty floral notes and sour apples. An adventure every time!
