Had this again this morning. I think I’m adjusting to the fact that I can’t identify that one flavour. It’s still tasty and very ‘tropical’ so it’s well named. I was a bit distracted while drinking it though, so I didn’t give it my full attention. Perhaps it’s less annoying that way?

drank Grape Matcha by Matcha Outlet

I used more matcha this time in my sweetened matcha latte, but it’s still less grapey than I expected. The grape is present but only slightly in the sip and more in the aftertaste. It’s not bad though, but grape flavour (and this is definitely grape candy rather than grape grape) isn’t really my favourite thing. Not sure why I bought this really, except at the time I really wanted to try every single matcha flavour made by Red Leaf Tea/Matcha Outlet.

Still, I’ll up the rating a bit since I’m getting more of a handle on this one. It doesn’t really deserve a rating in the 60s from me, but not too much since I don’t actually like it terribly much. Still, I’ll drink this down without much problem, I think, and then get to move on to a new flavour! Getting a bit tired of the same 4 matcha flavours at work.

Well, I tend to add milk to my black teas to tame the bitterness I get a bit (I’m ultra sensitive to bitterness) but I forgot that the cafeteria doesn’t open until 6am so I’ve been sitting with this tea in the steeper, dry, for half an hour and honestly it’s scenting my entire desk this amazing blackberry smell. I can’t smell the sage so much and the white leaves look very weird to me but I have high hopes for this tea. Blackberry sage is one of my favourite flavour combinations of all time.

The sage is much more present in the steeped tea smell, less sweet and more savory. It is definitely much more present in the steeped liquid, which isn’t very sweet at all and I can’t detect much blackberry in the first sips, despite 2 blackberries being in my steeper. It’s a nice tea but maybe I’ll put a bit more sweetener in it next time to try to bring out the blackberry more. I am enjoying it though, and hopefully it will wake me up this morning because I’ve been struggling.

Oh geez, being at work that early would be so brutal for me. Hats off to you! I can also be a little sensitive to the bitterness at times.

Well, it’s not a terrible earl grey, but I’ve gotten spoiled by better ones with much better base teas and actual bergamot pieces rather than just bergamot oil so it tastes pretty mediocre to me. I’m picky about my earl greys and this one does not make the cut.

Honestly this doesn’t taste much like a sencha. It tastes more oolongy to me and I don’t very much like oolongs. Maybe I just got a bad batch but this isn’t an enjoyable cup of tea.

My favourite thing forever. I was obsessed with this stuff in college and even now I drink it every morning I’m at work, first thing. So delicious.

Judging from the other reviews, it’s my sweet tooth showing.

Decent Genmaicha for a bagged tea. Toasty and the green is pretty mild. I enjoyed this but I probably wouldn’t buy it again, there are better genmaicha out there.

For a bagged chai, this is pretty decent. not too spicy for me, pretty warming. I start off the day with an Oregon Chai powdered drink so I’m comparing it to that because that is my favourite chai (I know I know) and this is not as enjoyable but I’m liking this one too. Only have the one bag from a sampler pack though and I won’t be getting more of it.

Trying this again. Lower temperature, less matcha, more sweetener and it’s much better. I didn’t pick up as much of the weird unidentified fruit this time, so it was just tasty, although I was distracted while I was drinking it. Still, quite good. Bumping my rating.
