drank Elyse's Blend by Harney & Sons

I’ve brought this to the office, to drink at work. With all the other Harney in my cupboard it was going to get ignored entirely, so better to get it worked towards a sipdown.
It’s fine. Its almost ordinary, but it is not exceptional.
That happens, but still.

This tea is a nice cup of chamomile. Not overwhelming, but perfectly nice! A nice sample to get.

drank Japanese Sencha by Harney & Sons

I had this yesterday, and it left almost zero impression. I kept looking into the depths of my cup of see if it was possible that I had not seen it.
Testing, testing, is this cuppa on?
So, no opinion on this. It seemed too delicate for my cupboard.

Harney loves to send me sample sachets of this whenever they send me tea. They really, really want me to like this!
And, it’s fine, but it’s too mild. The sample sachets have done the opposite of what they expected, making it very clear that I’m not going to buy the full size of this tea.
But it’s easy enough to drink down, so I don’t really mind getting the samples.

Its been a surprisingly stressful couple of days, and it will probably be a bit stressful this morning too, but I have this tea, and am going to get through it.
It’s lovely to have this tea back in my cupboard. It remains one of the teas I like the best, and it makes my cupboard quite cheerful.

drank Boston by Harney & Sons

It’s officially Autumn, and my Harney and my Harney order arrived (hooray!), so the only thing to do was to brew this up for my morning cup.
Nom nom nom. Oh Boston, I’ve missed you…

drank Touch of Grey by Dem Bones

And this, the other tea from Dem Bones is a very solid little Rose Earl Grey!
The floral is more in the smell than the sip, and the bergamot is well balanced with the tea base, so it never overpowers or becomes soapy.
Three cheers all around!

The Grateful Dead nod in the name set me off on a journey.

drank Pushing Up Daisies by Dem Bones

I ordered this tea from a company who specializes in skull shaped sugar cubes (Dem Bones on Etsy). I have wanted those sugar cubes for absolute years, and finally committed to them., and a couple of teas to boot.
This is a fairly nice little Darjeeling. The Marigold petals only seem to add color, not any noticeable flavor, but the tea has good enough flavor on its own.
A soothing sort of cup. I had it for breakfast today, but I think it’s going to be an afternoon tea instead.

Earlier in the week I had a cup of this that was, if not enjoyable, at least not terrible. That was a fluke, apparently, as I drank this blend yesterday and it made me feel well.
I used to think all breakfast blends would make me feel a little billious, but this is apparently not true. I feel a bit ill when it’s a bad breakfast blend.
I’m going to have to consider weather I want it to stay in my cupboard or if it will be the rare throwing out.

It’s never going to be a favorite, but if I keep an eye on the steep time it is a decent cuppa.
I still am not crazy about the dry mouthfeel that I get after it, but it’s not so off putting that I’m going to throw it away.

gmathis

I wasn’t crazy about this one, either.

ashmanra

I loved the first cup…and never got it right again.

Rosehips

I feel like there is a fantastic cup of tea in there, I just can’t get to it!

gmathis

Nothing should be that difficult :)

I love tea! I confess that I was a hot chocolate lover for most of my life, but recently a switch has gone off in my brain, and suggested that I might just love tea. And I do!
I’m a bit of a novice, but an enthusiastic one, and am happily sipping new varieties all the time.
I love vanilla, fruity, and caramel flavors, and cant wait to try more.
